hi guys, with OSFM coming out tonight, i was hoping to get started on an online league with a friend. However, other threads i'm seeing indicate online leagues are locking up with custom roster files. This is something i'm hoping is resolved in the patch! Any rumors about release date? Possibly around opening day!

I think it's still open because somehow, someway, through 20 pages of a patch thread, the conversation has managed to stay civil.

Perhaps OS has turned over a new leaf? Or baseball fans are just more mature? Lol.

True but the game has only been out a month so I say give it some more time..These guys worked hard to give us the great game that we have so I believe they should take a few weeks off and enjoy some free time...We will get a patch soon tho I do believe.

Then we'd get a flood or people complaining the CPU stole for them in bad situations etc....
I think its better to leave it up to user sending them.

When you use auto base-running as he obviously does, there will be times runners make mistakes. Thus, I don't see how having the CPU steal for you would be any different. The success rate should be tied into attributes. The pitch, catcher's arm rating, player speed, etc should all be factored in.

I am pretty sure last year the CPU did steal for you. I'd rather have the CPU steal for me, even if it occasionally doesn't work out, then not have it steal for me. My focus is strictly on batter versus pitcher and I assume many others who use auto base-running feel the same way.

I see what you're saying but I would like to start my franchise by Opening Day with realistic start times like we see on Opening Day and it looks like that will not happen. The Cincinnati Reds always start opening day at home with a daytime start. Playing Opening Day at night and every other weekday game is not realistic and is annoying.

It is certainly not a gamekiller or anything but a month IMO is a long time to wait to play my favorite and most played gamemode. Some people have no problem with the wrong schedules, some do myself included. I didn't pay $60 to play games that do not count.

I'm starting to think that this might not get fixed. SCEA is usually on top of these things and it seems like they would have at least acknowledged that there is an issue and that they're working on it. As far as I know, we've not heard anything.

I've already decided that I'm not playing the game until it is fixed. As a Cubs fan this is a pretty big deal. Is it unplayable, absolutely not. But for me trying to run a realistic dynasty, its too much for me to overlook.

I'll go back to Skyrim and Mass Effect until this is addressed.

Okay now you guys have got me worry ...I came on here full of hope now I must leave and walk outside with my head down and my wife asking me why am I crying ...I do hope there is a patch I just don't wanna rush them...Let them fix all that needs to be fixed at one time

My concern comes from the fact that when the start times were messed up in MLB 10, they fixed it before opening day. At least as far as I can remember. It doesn't look like that's going to happen for MLB 12. And we have no idea if they're even planning on fixing it.

I still believe they will since they did for MLB 10, but my hope is starting to dwindle.

I don't think anyone is rushing them. It's not like the game was just released yesterday and we're rioting in here demanding they fix this now. It's been a month and I think we've been pretty patient. I just think when we first noticed this issue every one assumed this would be fix by Opening Day or well before Opening Day because usually SCEA is on top of these things. I don't think that was crazy to assume.

And I cry myself to sleep everynight over this while my wife looks at me like I'm crazy!
