That's the point. Ideally a video game that is supposed to emulate real life baseball would not have such an easy exploit in the first place. I'm open to the idea that exploits cannot be avoided completely, but this one is a little tough to avoid as a player, which arguably makes it more important that it be solved.

And the idea that in the 2 seconds I have fielding the ball, I should realize it's an exploit situation, and simply hold on to the ball without question is absolutely ludicrous. It's not like I have a "WARNING: EXPLOIT" sign flashing in red letters on my screen. It DOES happen in real life, and I have no way of knowing during live play whether the scenario has realistically played out or not. It's not until I go back and look at the replay that I see things like the fielder not playing shallow, or that the line drive wasn't even hit all that hard. It's only after reviewing these things that I realize that it was probably an exploit and not a realistic scenario.

It's not really that difficult to NOT throw it to first.I have no idea what the big deal is unless its with people doing it online, in which case you should find people that dont exploit the situation.Its not really a huge deal IMO. Just dont do it.

ever since patch have been having constant freezing. I usually can tell when i get into the game and don't hear the announcers. usually means the game will freeze just before first pitch. this was started with a new franchise and rtts

ok, i don't wanna bring something up that has been brought up before but, i was playing games with scores of 2-1, 3-2, 1-0, pre patch, i have played exactly 2 games post patch, there has been a total of 19 homeruns in 18 innings, this game has so many problems that no one has even come close to finding an answer for, i know that russell said they didn't touch code for hitting or pitching, but then how does anyone explain those numbers, this is getting crazy, lol

What mode are you talkin' about ?

In my season, I've played 3 games and the offense is very realistic - nothing like what you described.

Game log that should have been fixed in the patch.

I checked again and the wind direction is still different on both the pause menu and Game Log. The wind speeds match but the direction does not. I have pictures if you need me to post them.

franchise mode, 2 games, 19 homeruns, 18 innings, 1 game was yankees (me) 4 homers, vs rays (com) 5 homers, then yankees (me) 6 homers, vs angels (com) 4 homers, but, i'm done complaining about this game, i really dont wanna get banned from here and the show has always been my favorite game so i just chalk up those huge homerun numbers to crappy pitching and bad sliders

Check the wind conditions too. I believe the wind has too great of an affect on fly balls, and if you get a fairly windy day, it can lead to a homerfest.

I have the wind slider at 4 and it seems pretty good so far.

I hit, if I'm recalling it correctly, 11 home runs in the last game I played. That's a true slugfest.. I gave up like 7 that game. I won, barely, 14-13.

The patch seems to have hammered my RTTS. Yesterday was first time I brought it up since the patch, been playing franchise ST with no problems.

But in RTTS, seems I can play a game, but eg on schedule, if I click on a game and view box score, it freezes and hammers the ps3 system. Several times, even with older rtts files I saved. So I spent quite a bit of money on training points, and it appears lost now.

What I am considering is uninstalling the game totally, I have my RTTS and franchise saves on USB external drive.

Renistalling it and leaving my ethernet cable unplugged. The Show is only game I ply on PS3, and if I do what I am thinking, perhaps all will be fine, as this patch, which lord knows what good it was supposed to accomplish, will not get installed.

They must know about this, and I hope they are doing something about it.

Like I said try the wind slider at 3 or 4. The slider will actually change the wind speed, so if you check the wind speed, you can see what effect the slider has on it.

At least that's how I've been doing it.

Don't know if this was brought up since the patch was released but has anyone still encountered the incorrect errors to end an inning? I just saw one after Rickie Weeks made a VERY slightly off balance catch to end the 2nd.

Well the patch is starting to grow on me. It does seem to maybe have more of a variety swing. I even finally threw out my first base runner.

I might just need to move up to legend hitting but will need to play a few more games.
