Ever since I have downloaded the patch, I can't play my RTTS. I press sim to next appearance, and every time it freezes. I gave up after my 4th time trying. I can only assume that it is the patch, since I played about 15 games yesterday.
Not sure if this is related to the patch, or the OSFM roster, but every time I start a new season, I try to add Damon to the Indians. It freezes upon loading the FA list.
Try loading the roster you want to use for your franchise and adding Damon from the roster control. Then, save the roster and see if your franchise works. Note-- In roster control you may have to "trade out" someone to the free agent list. If this happens, I have always cut the lowest ranked player/prospect.
Im currently at work at the moment so I haven't had a chance to see if my current Yankees franchise freezes or not (Currently at 7-4 so not too far along). If i have to restart my franchise, then ill just use the recent OSFM roster set and hope to get off on a good foot again. Not too big of a deal for me but I hope i can just continue my franchise as is.
i wonder if this is similar to the problems we had back in the '09 game where as soon as you go to the next game on the schedule, the game would kick back to the XMB....
Just downloaded the new patch today at 1:30pm EST. Was wondering what the new patch is supposed to do? After reading these posts I was a little concerned about freezing since I am already 18 games into my Braves Franchise but...my offline franchise loaded fine
Guys....it would be REALLY helpful....if instead of just saying....I'm doing
XXX during my franchise and it's freezing....you also state whether it's an EXISTING(continuing) franchise or a brand new franchise.
That seems to be the most important bit of info right now...
Could it be a roster issue? Maybe trying the default roster would help...
Well...it seems more like a continue franchise issue...which would make it moot...since to load the default roster, you'd have to start a new franchise.

Interesting. Could you confirm that the start times are fixed (to ensure the patch installed) ?
Anyway, some specifics would be grately appreciated (whether any games on the schedule were simmed before you entered your game...if so what games, etc). 30 team or single team? Which team are you controlling?
Could you also try to sim the season forward and also try to enter and exit a game to play?
*EDIT* Knight makes a good point, though I figured it didn't need asking here (since you said you were 18 games in). Did you continue your Franchise or start a new one?
2. I had completed June 29th and 30th and it froze when trying to view "Today's Games" on July 1st.
3. 30 team control, viewing from the Cincinnati Reds Schedule
4. No games had been completed
5. No games had been simmed
6. It froze when trying to access the "View Today's Games" menu
I have a 30 team franchise going with the Reds as well and went home at lunch and played my April 21st game against the Cubs. I went in to view today's games and simmed the CPU games before playing mine. After the game I switched between team control over to the Cubs just so i could take a look at how Soler was doing. Then I simmed my last game of the series and my off day and then saved. No freeze issues and didn't notice calendar moving slower.
Using Knights roster with couple manual edits on the Reds (changed Chapman to starter and Marshall to a reliever.)
Just to add in case it wasn't obvious. This was a pre-existing franchise.
