That sucks I'll probably wait when 13 is all patched up than because they probably have problems with the playoff format and I'm sure they won't move Houston to the AL in season 2 in franchise in 12 than Should I wait for the next patch to start my franchise? Anybody know when this patch suppose to be release?

I just started a brand new Mariner's franchise after reading this tonight. I started the first game of spring training and noticed the commentary stopped after the first pitch, didn't really pay attention to it until I switched sides after the top half of the 1st, when I came up to bat, the game froze. It did this three times and every time the commentary stopped after the first pitch. I was under the assumption new franchises were safe. I am using Knight's roster set with TKM's sliders and have the patch.

So starting a new franchise helps nothing?

Umm...that's what started happening to me before I got the 80010514 error last night and my PS3 died. The first time I the commentary sound cut-off in the 6th inning of a RTTS game and it froze after the game ended. The second and third time it happened late in a franchise game.

Hopefully your problem is a completely different and fixable one.

I would delete the patch and game data, re-install and then give it a try. Just a suggestion.

AUTiger1, is what your saying about scea not being able to put the playoff in because it will screw up the game, is that a fact that you have heard from an scea developer?

Yes, they made that statement right when the playoff format was announced.

hmm, i don't want to argue, all i remember them saying is, if we can put the new playoff format in a patch that doesn't screw up the game we will look into it/put it in, i don't think i'm wrong but i have no computer skills to find the actual quote, sorry

I don't remember that. However I could be mistaken, I've been wrong before, I'll be wrong again.

I know 2k said they were going to attempt it with a patch.. My recollection is SCEA said it wasn't possible via a title update.

dang it, sorry bout that, anyways, the way i found it was by searching, i typed in, playoff format, then i searched, i think its bout the 3rd thread down, it says, playoff format update? by osfan093, then like the 3rd or 4th or so down post is the one and it does actually work, not sure why mine didn't, but if you find it, maybe you can post a good link

That's what I would say for now. I started 2 new franchises since the patch and have done whatever I wanted to do and there has been no freeze. I would say the same thing, try it again.

Started a new franchise got through one game and all seems well for now so thanks. I'll report back if i see issues again
