Welcome to the life of a QA tester, folks.

I didn't buy the game to be a quality tester. I bought it to club HRs with Fielder and Cabrera on ridiculously easy levels.

Except (not really a smoking gun),

You, Knight, and now one other person have had no problems starting from Spring or Opening Day with an existing Franchise.

Well, other than Bcruise, who said he was 11 games in.

It just seems to me that most of these issues are occurring from later dates on the schedule. I'll need to re-read all four of your's posts to see if there's a common denominator for Franchises working that are different from ones that don't. BRB.

I might just take a chance with my OSFM spring roster with the Astros single team control franchise. I've only played the season opener with the Astros and simmed to April 7th. I'm be back later with the info.

Didn't mean it like that. I'm just referring to the fact that we can't nail down one cause for this as it seems to be all over the map.

If it causes a problem, ditch the patch.

My problem is I really need the patch, as I split time playing on the PS3 and the Vita, so I need cloud saves.

Just to reiturate I just fired up my Chise again which was still in ST before the patch and its working fine.

I never had the game freeze on me until yesterday afternoon. I had started a game the night before, then paused it overnight and while I was at work. When I restarted it I got through about one inning before the game froze (in-game, between pitches, nothing going on).

I chalked it up to the patch, and maybe my system telling me to get the patch and so I did and then restarted the game and it went through without any hiccups except my Mariners lost their EIGHTH in a row

How does one ditch a patch?

In the past I've just gone to the game data utility on the UMB and deleted it.

I'm confused here...the patch (the latest one anyway, and the first since release day) wasn't released until this morning. If you froze yesterday, it wasn't the patch. And it wouldn't try to download it while you were in a game.

I have an old save with a test franchise that was several games in to the season, I'll test with that one.

For what its worth fellas, I started a single team control franchise (w/Hustlins 25 man OD roster) last night after learning today's patch wouldnt require me to restart my franchise. After downloading the patch this morning, I've loaded up my franchise, played 3-4 games and simmed a few to get me to about the 3rd week of April in my franchise. I have NOT had any issues with freezing.
Also, I do not have any sounds downloaded for my game and I have not been connected to the PSN when playing.
I agree with Knight's theory that it may have something to do with connecting to the PSN while in franchise. But who knows? Hope we can figure it out to help out you guys that are having issues and I will update here if I have any future problems.

Just got home from work and reading all these reports on the latest patch.I fired up my PS3 being logged into PSN, I canceled the patch. Everything was fine, no freezing with my RTTS or Season, I do not do the franchise or use any of the roster updates. I will wait till the proper patch comes through before downloading, sorry to hear about those that have freezing problems.

I have a copy of my franchise on my USB flash drive, but on the PM screen I don't have an option to attach a file. How can I get it to you?

That fixed it for me. Disabled the internet and no freeze at the schedule screen like I was getting before. It kind of stuttered for a bit right when the screen opened up and I thought it was going to freeze again, but it didn't.

I wonder if disabling the internet connection is a temporary work around until the issue can be resolved. Would be great to see if others who have the freezing issue have the problem after disabling their internet connection on the PS3.
