Can they un-patch the patch and figure out what is causing the problems and then re-release it when it, I don't know, actually works?

Re: Freezing issues after the new patch (Exhibition, Franchise and RTTS)
Here's what I have found and what I think is the real issue causing freezes in franchise and season:
I have a Red Sox franchise and the last game I played before the patch was July 30. The game was completed.
I downloaded the patch and fired up my season and the date was still July 30, but the result of the game already was reflected in the win-loss and stats. When I tried to play the game on the 30th again, the pitching matchup was wrong and all my players were tired. I played it anyway and saved to a new file. When I tried to play the July 31st game, it froze and continued to freeze.
The patch somehow messed up the calendar, probably because part of the patch fix was start times. I only tried the Red Sox, but it appears certain teams have this issue and certain teams do not.
As far as freezes in exhibition games, etc., I have no idea why this is happening. I haven't had it happen to me. I started a new season post-patch and have had no problems.
Does anyone know if deleting patch 1.06 deletes the other updates that were downloaded on release and a few days after, or just that patch?
It is sad that a patch can wreak this much havoc just for a few simple tweaks and fixes. Hopefully, there will be a patch to the patch soon, otherwise our choices are start all over or delete the patch (and perhaps everything else that came before it) and plug away with our season/franchises.Comment

Re: Freezing issues after the new patch (Exhibition, Franchise and RTTS)
I was just gonna say that. That seems to be what it looks like at this point. I still have not downloaded the patch and I really don't want to if it s gonna freeze all the time. So I am waiting to see if this works out.Comment

Re: Freezing issues after the new patch (Exhibition, Franchise and RTTS)
I think you are correct with it having to do with the calendar fixes. Last night I played a game on April 11th and saved it. I DL the patch this morning and like you said the game was reflected in the standings but was NOT shown as played on the calendar of either team involved (KC and OAK)...Is it safe to assume starting a new franchise and we are ok?Comment

Re: Freezing issues after the new patch (Exhibition, Franchise and RTTS)
What i noticed now after the patch...luckily i havent had any freezing issues....is that in the ticker across the bottom when it shows AL and NL leaders for the season, every number now has a decimal. So if it says AL hits leaders it will show up 1. Pujols 38.00 2. Fielder 36.00 and so on. Not a huge deal but kinda same ol story release a patch to fix one thing...mess up something else.Comment

Re: Freezing issues after the new patch (Exhibition, Franchise and RTTS)
Hopefully its just a schedule problem like we think...yes I also forgot to mention I simmed all games on April 11th before playing my game (as always)and this morning I think there were two "unplayed" games plus mine when all April 11th games should have been completed.Comment

Re: Freezing issues after the new patch (Exhibition, Franchise and RTTS)
Froze again, this time when trying to view the schedule for the Angels. I went the other direction, and cycled through the Yankees, Red Sox, and all the National League teams with no problems at all. I went all the way around to Oakland, no problems. The instant I pressed the button to change teams (to what would be Anaheim Angels), it froze again.
I was able to view statistics, standings etc... for ALL teams, including Cleveland and Anaheim.
I was able to enter the "Manage Roster" sub-feature thing, and cycled through ALL TEAMS, again including Cleveland and Anaheim, with no problems.
I just deleted my patch. Also new and noteworthy, you do not have to delete all your game data to delete the patch. The patch saves as a separate file, and I just went in and literally deleted only the patch, from the XMB menu. It's never separated the patch this way before, so I wonder if this is part of the issue?
Again, that means anyone concerned about freezing can try the patch safely without having to backtrack and delete everything. Just don't save any game modes, obviously.Comment

I started a new franchise, same settings and rosters as before. The games that were "missing" in my other franchise were played and don't show any issues.Comment

Re: Freezing issues after the new patch (Exhibition, Franchise and RTTS)
I have yet to have any freezing issues in my pre-patch 30 team franchise. I am using Huslin's 25 man OSFM opening day rosters and am early on in April. I did notice that 2 of the games that I simulated before the patch, the results disappeared and they now appear as if they were never played. The Mariners and Rangers now have 2 games played instead of 3 as they should have. Not sure why that is. No custom sounds here.Comment

By any chance did LAA's game go incomplete, even if the View Today's game said it was completed?Comment

For me the two unplayed games were with teams with the odd opening day schedule. The Miami/Cincy game and the Seattle Oakland game.Comment

Did they adjust the actual schedules pre-patch to post-patch? I am not talking start times, but actual dates?Comment

Re: Freezing issues after the new patch (Exhibition, Franchise and RTTS)
I am running a full sim season with a newly started franchise to make sure all teams end up with 162 games played at the end of the year.
I'll do the same with my non freezing franchise as well.Comment
