Re: Da Astros
same theory with my franchise...if i play too much RTTS now, i won't touch RTTS at a later point....i might just stick to exhibition games from now on...at least i can't *erase* those lolSteelers | Seminoles | A's | Rockets | Avalanche | Wildcats, Hoosiers | LiverpoolComment

Re: Da Astros
I'm back onto The Show after a day or two of rest and relaxing with the girlfriend.
Not to say the Show wasn't on my mind. I've kinda just been pondering to myself about spots I could potentially send Wandy, Lee, Lowrie, etc.
Any thoughts on potentially good fits for those guys (assuming that whoever you suggest is contending at the time.)Check out my Houston Astros Dynasties:

Re: Da Astros
I was able blow through a month in my chise (not a good record but not in last place)
Bullet Points
1) Opponents late inning rallies lead to rhiner cruz being moved to closer (no surprise there)
2) Decided to use power swing about 30-35% of the time and it has helped the team's offensive production. Most happy that it has helped Castro (hitting above .300 with 4 HR's/12 RBI's)
3) Love Weiland - Control has been great and he has the best K/9 ratio (8.12)
4) Harrell (I had to mention his name) = 2 ugly starts and 1 decent start
5) Happy to restart and do scouting the NF4M way (scout the until I unlock potential)... Can't wait for the draft.Madden Breakdowns Full YOUTUBE Playlist

Re: Da Astros
welcome back man...Lee to Milwaukee is a perfect fit....Wandy to the Tigers, Yankees, Angels, Red Sox....Lowrie also to the Tigers (u'd have to move him to 2B tho), maybe back to the Red Sox if Aviles is crap, Braves if none of their young SS's are working out, SF cause they dont really have an established SS
As for Wandy, I kinda wanna send him to Detroit so I can bring over some guys I'm familiar with...and I really like Quintin Berry and seeing the log-jammed outfield Detroit has, maybe I could snag him away and plant his speed in CF at MMP if Schafer/Bogey don't work outCheck out my Houston Astros Dynasties:

this should qualify as the *obvious statement of the year*

funny thing is, im slowly picking it up with Castro as well but still not gunna user power swing...i'd kill for a .300 AVG with him
3) Love Weiland - Control has been great and he has the best K/9 ratio (8.12)
couldn't agree more here...he's making a case to be an Astro for a while
4) Harrell (I had to mention his name) = 2 ugly starts and 1 decent start
..........is all i have to say

Re: Da Astros
Does Milwaukee have the prospects to deal for Lee? I seem to remember hearing that their system was a little bare after trading for Greinke, Marcum, and Sabathia.

Re: Da Astros
Milwaukee's top-end of prospects are pitchers (most of which are not ready and untradable)....depends on what position(s) u want in return....either way, no more then 2 B's if he's doing well.....if i remember correctly, Berry is a D POT in previous OSFM versions but im pretty sure he will be re-rated in Scott's roster...he's 27 so i'd probably lean with younger guys with more upside but if u like him, go for it
And as for Berry, I really don't know about him. I mean I like him for the Astros as an answer to the issue of a lack of a true basestealer and I think his speed would make him an asset for me, considering the small ball I'm going to have to play with this team and the Cavernous CF we have here in Houston. And 27 isn't THAT old. But I mean, I'll take the best deal I can get haha. We need talent across the board.Check out my Houston Astros Dynasties:

Re: Da Astros
Right, 2 Bs sounds about right. I was just curious about the Brewers system. And I think we need just about every position right? Outside of 1st and LF that is.

Re: Da Astros
it depends on what your definition of *need* is, how patient u are in letting ur prospects develop, and who do u deem untouchable in ur farm system...but yes i do believe there are plenty of opportunities for guys to prove themselves on the Astros....and regarding Berry, he seems to be a decent hitter and has speed...his age just turns me off as i dont think he'll project into anything more then a filler
Much like the Indians from the 90s where they were bad for 3-4 years and then began contending immediately in the 5th year.Check out my Houston Astros Dynasties:

Re: Da Astros
The way I see myself right now is like this: I see Houston contending in 3-4 years, with Singleton, Correa, and Martinez being the center-pieces of my team. Pretty much every other spot is up for grabs haha. I'm very keen on letting guys get their development down in the minors before throwing them into the fray of big league baseball.

Re: Da Astros
without any bias opinions getting in the way, i think u have to at least throw Springer and Cosart into the *center-pieces* mix of your team if they're up to the challenge in your given timeframe.....if everything goes according to plan, 2/3's of your OF would be set, 2/4's of your IF, and u'd have your top-line starter in Cosart (i hope he turns out to be an ace)...i'd like to keep Altuve if all possible as well...heart tells me to continue to keep Castro and allow him to develop but my head is telling me to cut bait with him so u can go either way with him....only positions i hope to be going outside of the organization for would be RF (if Santana doesn't show anything in the minors), 3B( if Wallace doesn't do anything) maybe a 5th starter since i love Lyles, Norris, and Cosart being my top 3..hopefully Weiland can keep up his solid performances and make it 4....the bullpen needs a makeover as everybody is expendable in my eyes
As for my rotation, I love me some Jordan Lyles...he is gonna be an Astro for a long time if he keeps hurling like he has been. Norris is solid, a little inconsistent for my liking honestly, and Cosart is hopefully an ace in waiting. And Weiland hasn't gotten a shot yet for me, but he probably will when I deal Milk Carton for a bag of bats to the Phillies (so he will never see the Majors again.)Check out my Houston Astros Dynasties:

Re: Da Astros
Well I forgot them lol, I'm away from my PS3 right now and I wasn't exactly looking at my minor league system. But I agree with Castro...because I like him, but he may not even be able to play very much for me early if Snyder keeps hitting long balls at the pace he is.
