Re: Da Astros
I do love him, he's gonna be a good pitcher. I hope he can hang around for awhile.
I just started that epic matchup of Aces.
Bud's stats were better than I remembered: 6-2, 1.91 ERA, 80 innings, 73 H, 12 BB, 83 K
Wow...CY Young here he comes!Check out my Houston Astros Dynasties:

Re: Da Astros
After finishing up the month of July my Astros are still in last place in the division. These past 3 weeks were not good ones, we lost series to the padres, dbacks, reds, and pirates. The offense has been terrible, only JD has an avg over .290 (.297), and he and FMar are the only 2 with 10+ HRs. Since joining the team (6 games), Chris Carter has a .250 avg with 1 HR 3 rbi. Schaffer leads the NL with 34 sb eventhough he has a .247 avg. The pitching has been really good, Lyles and Bud have ERAs in the 2s, Happ and Harrel have ERAs in the 3s. And the bullpen has been simply nasty!
At this point I just want to get to September call-ups and the offseason since im well out of it, so i decided that im only gonna play when Lyles or Bud start and sim the rest for the month of August. In September ill play most of the games except for Happ starts since I wanna play with some of my top prospects.
BTW the trading logic in this game is ridiculous! I started my chise without 30 team control so i had to prevent crazy trades manually

Re: Da Astros
For real, it seems like the cpu only acknowledges top prospects in trades.
I am not kidding u, one of the trades was Bubba Starling, Montgomery, and Cuthbert for Franklin Gutierrez who was hitting .185!
Im so glad im past that though, i had to do trades through my team in order for the cpu not to do them

Re: Da Astros
The RL Twins are pulling an Astros right now...they have 10 hits against Detroit, and 9 of them are singles. Granted they're winning, which makes me
and makes them nothing like the Astros.
Oh, I just noticed that in that Detroit series...there's another storyline game that I need to highlight in some capacity. That would be the return of Jeremy Bonderman to Motown. He faces Max Scherzer in the series finale. I think I'm gonna watch that game and give some highlights/notes whenever I get there lol.Check out my Houston Astros Dynasties:

Re: Da Astros
Finally back from vacation and ready to get started on my 2013 season (just finished FA for 2012). Here are the lineups I'll be rolling with to start the season. Didn't make any big splashes in free agency this season besides getting Oviedo as a closer for now. Andruw Jones lost his pop vs lefties so I didn't go after him (instead went after Nick Swisher but couldn't land him). I couldn't sign one of the catching prospects the Stros got at the deadline (carlos something I think?) .. he simply refused to 'have interest' in any deal I threw at him.. so catching is still a problem for me. I mostly focused on saving money (I have about 12 million budget left or so).
Lineup InformationSpoiler
Starting Pitching
Bud Norris
Jarred Cosart
Brett Oberholtzer
Jordan Lyles
Kyle Weiland
Bullpen
LRP - Rich Harden (FA.. figured he could be a good reliever for me)
MRP - Juan Abreu
MRP - Xavier Cedeno
MRP - Aneury Rodriguez
SU - Fernando Abad
SU - Wilton Lopez
CP - Juan Oviedo (FA)
Batting
2B - Altuve
RF - Bogey
SS - Lowrie
1B - Brett Wallace
LF - J.D.
C - Castro
3B - Dominguez
CF - Schafer
Bench - Jose Molina (had no options in FA), Marwin, Jordan Scott (probably won't last long), Matt Downs, Steven Pearce
Key Guys in AAA - Amaya (my stud 1B), Paredes, Correa, Asher Wojechowski, Folty, Tropeano
Key Guys in AA - Colton Cain, Paul Clemens, Lance McCullers, Singleton, Rio Ruiz, Springer, other first year prospects
How are your franchises going? I haven't been around and I don't have the time to read through the probably 30 pages I missed lol ..Comment

I saves my money to. I resigned a lot of the 2012 guys. Plus picked up Ben Sheets and Ryan Theriot in the off season. I Had about 9Mil left come spring training. Hopefully I can land somebody big in the next offseason. Finally back from vacation and ready to get started on my 2013 season (just finished FA for 2012).
