    Re: Vita Patch?

I believe I read in the new PS3 patch comments that Chef Matt has done some early cross-play tests and they have been favorable. I was just glancing over them at work on my phone so I hope I'm not incorrect or have missed anything.

I'm still terrified as hell to get started without some official "Go For It" statement from SCEA or a formal Vita patch (especially since Russell wrote that we may want to avoid doing any cross-platform saves in April in the last patch update).

I've really only lost 10-12 hours of actual franchise time, so a restart is not a death sentence or anything so dramatic in my case, but man would I like some reassurance that it will be smooth sailing through calm waters if I start now.

I also want to thank Chef Matt again, he (like so many of you here) go out of your way to do (tedious) testing for the simple benefit of others here on the forums. I hope his tests continue to yield positive results so many of us may get to live the dream of true, fuctional cross-play without want or worry in our hearts or minds. I WANT TO CLIMB THAT MOUNTAIN WITH MY VITA IN HAND, AND A PS3 SLUNG UNDER MY SHOULDER. AND WHEN I GET TO THE TOP, BROTHERS AND SISTERS, I WANT TO SEE 162 USER PLAYED GAMES PLAYED BETWEEN THE TWO PLATFORMS THERE AT THE TOP WITH ME, AND IF GOD WILLS IT, PLAYOFFS!!

Ahem. Sorry. I work nights and take sleeping medication during the day, and it's one that has clearly kicked in. Good night all.

Haha Thanks. I'm at game 4 on my Vita, that's been cross saved 3 times, schedules checked on both, simmed seasons, etc...it's currently sitting waiting for my lunch break . I've had no issues at all. The times are wrong, and I'd like to be able to know what pitch the catcher is calling but all in all everything is great. This is from a brand new season, started on the PS3, post v1.16.

Hey Matt not sure if I understand what you are referring to, but on the VIta if you look at your pitches there is a little glowin ring around the one your catcher is calling for. If thats not what you were lookin for, maybe we can figure it out.

Hmm I'll have to look closer. But what I'm looking for is to be able to hit the RS button so it shows the pitch and location the catcher wants. Similar to how the PS3 does.

Turn the API on. That's what I did for the Vita (I have it on Default on the PS3). I also leave the ball marker on, just b/c the sticks are more sensitive on Vita.

That option doesn't exist on the Vita unfortunately. If you have API set to on, it will show it briefly, ala the PS3, but there isn't a button to have the catcher show it again.

It's actually something Woodweaver mentioned back in the Vita Impressions thread when it first released; he said he was looking at getting that added in via patch.

You know, the way the PS3 patches have been going, I am OK with no Vita patch. I love the game as it is now. I have actually unplugged my PS3 and no longer use it.

Thanks for the heads up on the API thing DJ/DDW. I have it on for the PS3 and I assumed it just transfered over the Vita and didn't work! Haha. That's great! Now I don't need the option to use the RS button. I didn't even know it worked in the first place.

                      Re: Vita Patch?

Ok so I just bought a Vita and the Show and was planning on using the cloud thing to transfer my chise so I can play at home and on the go. My ps3 chise is from pre April 13 patch, and I am on April 26th.

                      Couple questions

                      1. Is transfering this to my vita going to corrupt it? If I back it up will that prevent it from corrupting?

                      2. Do I need ps+ to save between the 2? If so is there another way to do it?

The only reason I bought this vita was to play my chise, it's not open yet so would I be best just to return it?

Considering your still in April, I'd just start a new one with the latest patch to be safe. Everything (so far) is working perfectly.

                        No need for ps+

Btw you will quickly get back to April 26 when playing the vita!

Gonna load up my cloud save onto my ps3 and get a game in. I'll post back results. If anybody has anything they want me to try and test let me know. I'll try after my game.

Remember though I just started everything post PS3 v1.16

Also I just play season mode.
