Re: PLAYER BATTING STANCES THAT NEED TO BE UPDATED FOR MLB 13

Andrew McCutchen - This year he changed his stance to be very open. I don't blame you guys for not updating this, he just changed it in spring training. Other than the fact that its open, nothing much has changed with his stance. Maybe a little more bat movement. He rests the bat on his shoulder, then lifts it off, and alternates, very easy to see in any video. These type of things have never really been represented with the in game stances, but thats just nitpicking. EDIT: Sorry the image is so big, its all i could get. Just click on it and you should be able to see it all

      Player Name: Matt Kemp

      What needs to be updated:
      Batting Stance

His stance in the game is way too upright and should be more couched at the legs and his hand and bat position is incorrect. Use Mike Napoli's stance in the game for a good reference on where his bat position should be

Also he should have 1 handed follow through

DEREK JETER - LAST YEARS OF PLAYING ARE APPROACHING FOR THE FUTURE HOF... I THINK I SPEAK ON THE BEHALF OF ALL YANKEE FANS, AS WE WOULD LOVE TO SEE HIS STANCE REPLICATED IN THE SHOW 13.

ALEX RODRIGUEZ - HE WENT BACK TO HIS OLD STANCE, ALSO IN 12 HE HAS A TWO HANDED FINISH, AS HE FINISHES WITH ONE. MAYBE YOU GUYS CAN THROW IN HIS OLD STANCE AS THE DEFAULT AND LEAVE HIS NEW STANCE AS A GENERIC NUMBERED STANCE.

THANKS SCEA FOR AMAZING REAL SIM BASEBALL GAME THROUGHOUT THE YEARS... YOU GUYS ROCK

          Granderson, please!!

He has very minimal bat movement, stance is slightly open, and he has a 2 handed finish.

            Name:
            Hanley Ramirez

            What needs to be updated:
Batting Stance and Step In Routine

Hanley being in Boston when Manny was around Hanley picked up on a lot of Manny's routines (Habits-lol). He holds the bat out at the pitcher via Manny or Jim Thome as well as taps home plate like Manny did. Here are some pics of what his stance looks like. By the way, when mocapping any stance I think it's most important to look at whether or not the players front foot is open or not and what his back elbow looks like. Is it up, down or middle. I believe if these are paid important attention that the stance will be right every time. Hanley keeps his back elbow really high. And has a huge leg kick ala the last pic. And also has a one handed follow through holding his bat in the air while he watches the ball.

                Ryan Braun

His stance is no longer open, he's pretty straight ahead.

                  Player name: JOSE BAUTISTA

Swing correction: He needs to crouch more and also, the bat needs to around his head when he is setting up for the pitch. He has his hands waggling the bat up and around his head. In MLB 12 the show, his hands pre-pitch are too far back and the bat is in the incorrect position as well. I really hope you guys bring him in for the mo-cap for next years edition ..

                    Player: Anthony Rizzo

Stance: In MLB 12' The Show, Anthony Rizzo is listed as a selectable batting stance, but when you select it, the stance is the same as Generic 1. Here is a clip of Anthony Rizzo's stance:

                    Player: Cameron Maybin

Stance: Everything with his stance in the game is in-line except he's stance in real-life is not as open as it is in the game.

It's not so much a batting stance, but I noticed when I take those practice swings before a pitch is thrown, sometimes the player/bat glitches for a split second. So instead of one smooth motion from the follow through of the practice stuff, to going back into their batting stance, you get it glitched for a split second.

It's noticeable on many guys(main one I notice it on is Bautista) doesn't always happen, but happens often

And Bautista does a small upper body twist thing after he takes a pitch(I know these post pitch things can be added cause I saw Pedroia do some sort of move after he took pitches)

                        Dustin Pedroia....
I already made a post but it was deleted before I submitted it... but Dustin Pedroia
His stance in the game is from a couple years ago...
It needs to be more upright and hands are closer to his head, he also has a leg kick

                          Yadier Molina.
Yadi's stance needs to updated and he needs to have a windup when he starts his swing.

                            Miguel Cabrera
His stance is fine, but half the time he has a two-handed follow through, but in real life he always has a one-handed follow through.

                            Justin Verlander
His motion is incorrect this year, but it was correct in MLB 11 and 10.

                              Yankees Nick Swisher.

He changed his batting stance two years ago actually. As he enters the batting box he extends his arms outward from his body & he lifts his bat directly upwards. (with the top of the bat facing the sky) He then with his hands still extending outward away from his body bends his hands in a downward motion and then back up thereby moving his bat downward & then back up. He does this downward motion twice (kind of looks like a downward chopping motion with an ax) with his hands.

He then goes into his batting stance with his knees bent. His stance itself in the box is currently correct, except he no longer has any bat movement whatsoever. He simply lays the bat flat (horizontal) on his shoulder. Also, he continually opens and closes his top hand on the bat (timing thing) as he is waiting for the pitch to be delivered until the pitch is on it's way.

A-Rod needs to have his stance from last years game put back in. He went back to it this year.

Granderson needs a two handed swing.
