    Re: Less fun than 11?

Having an absolute blast and I fully intend on completing a full season this year (haven't done that since '09). Speaking of '09, I lost in the ALCS so I'm looking to rebound from that - playing all 162 games and losing that series sucked!

I started a fresh franchise after the patch (with my Yankees) and I always seem to find the right balance between my settings and sliders to just about match the real Yankee team stats. (only made SLIGHT tweaks to my Sliders).

During my Twins series, I happened to hit 3 HR's with Curtis Granderson, only to see the REAL Granderson pull it off the following night - I also won that game 8-6 while the real Yanks pulled off a 7-6 victory.

My RS/RA, Team ERA, Team Avg, etc. are extremely close to the real Yanks and quite honestly, it's a little freaky. LOL

Will post some Player/Team stats after I complete each month - here's to a WS victory in MLB '12!

      Re: Less fun than 11?

I had more fun with 11, sure the camera angle was a bit wonky but this year with the throwouts at 1st, faster pitch speed + more input lag online do not make the game fun. On Franchise it's no real issue and if I could use a slider set for Online Games it'd be great... but yeah.

I probably played over 150 online challenge games on MLB 11, I don't see myself even playing 50 games.

Actually it's L2 to queue a steal... and technically, there is no LB button on the PS3 (lol, just giving you a hard time)

I would appreciate it if this can be made more clear to me. L1 would be LB and L2 would be LT (PS3), so is it L1 or L2? Also. exactly when are you supposed to hit L1/L2?

              Thanks!

                L1 is leading.
L2 is queuing up the steal.

You can press L2 (queue steal) any time after the batter is in the box. You should feel a rumble verification. Same for L1 (increase lead) and R1 (decrease lead) - basically any time, up until the pitcher starts his delivery. Protip: be careful when leading off, a big lead isn't really necessary for faster guys, and the CPU will try to pick you off. And unfortunately, diving back is ratings based.

Since the CPU/AI causes base runners to make silly mistakes in 12, as it did in 11, I wouldn't have a problem if that happened with auto base running as long as I got an occasional steal. As it is now, Kemp and Gordon have no steals and that is to me quite disturbing. Before anyone suggests I go manual for auto base running, I chose auto base running for a reason. Too bad they took out CPU stealing for the User in 12.

I think that's pretty clear. There's an entire thread on stealing with auto baserunning.
Of course, you know, you could always try it yourself, on that playstation thing you own... Instead of asking that question over and over...

Yeah, we are talking about auto baserunning. The commands that do not work with auto BR, are the ball in-play commands (L1 = advance runners, R1 = return runners, etc.) and the ability to target runners with the L-stick.

My first post in this thread as seen above was simply a statement without any question. What followed were two conflicting replies that quite logically led me to question (replies seen above). What you see as being clear was not clear to me.
