I think the idea is that every single statistic and event would be based upon actual gameplay, instead of the sim engine. I find it pretty interesting, although I'm wondering how you have the time to do this.

Yes based on actual gameplay instead of the sim engine. Taking all my other games out of rotation is the first thing, i seriously doubt i will get through the season, but its a goal to keep until the Show 13 comes out

Well I realize this now. I still don't think it's feasible. You would basically have to give up your life.

And imagine if the file is corrupted for whatever reason - yikes!

OMG that brought back bad memories. My cousin and I used to lpay Baseball Simulator 1.000 on the original Nintendo almost everyday growing up. We created 8 teams and played every game and got maybe 80 games in for everyone and the Cartridge erased all the stats and created teams. We were heart broken

I like to play one game out of a series. I will pick the pitcher i like to pitch with the most or the best pitching matchup of the series and play that game. Or, you can just pick a pitcher or 2 in your starting 5 and play just those games. Playing all the games is a stretch unless u dont go to school, dont work, and have no girlfriend/wife.

I'm with ya Funky Monkey! I'm trying for same thing, only doing CPU vs CPU.
I'm on the April 8th games right now. So I guess I'm about 33 out of 2400 some odd games.
BTW, I DID manage to do an entire NCAA football season this way. So it can be done.

Got 5 games played over the weekend. 22 down 2408 to go. Maybe when i get under 2400 I will throw up a shot of the leaderboards or something and then do it every 50 or 100 games if people want to see it?

Got 3 games in last night to bring the total to 25 down 2405 to go. One thing I found interesting so far is that in the Nats opening day game, Michael Morse was injured and will miss 2 months of the season. Funny how the Show can imitate life sometimes

It's funny that you mention NCAA football. I did that one year as well. It was probably over 10 years ago. In the end I wimped out and only did the top 25 games each week. I still remember there were no undefeated teams, and Texas beat Tennessee in the Championship game.

So far with the Show, I'm only 94 games in out of 2400. Sigh.

If you have a Vita and run the games as CPU vs. CPU, I find this quite feasible depending on your work/life style. I think I'm in late May with one of the seasons that I'm running for a testing purpose... playing out all games. If I continued that season then I probably would be already in June... (I have other seasons going besides that one.)

It'll be impossible to do this when you are actually controlling... you'll get tired at some point!!

... but someone like myself who works in front of my laptop all day long without dealing with people interrupting, running games on portable isn't much of a distraction. Needless to say, a job/life like that isn't all that exciting though.

thats crazy, how long did it take to play the NCAA season and how many games was it.

Good luck on the quest to play all MLB games, that might be a guiness record if that could be done.

I can't even remember how many games that NCAA season was. It was nothing compared to a full baseball season. Like I said though, I sort of wimped out and only started doing the games of teams in the top 25 at the end. I did play out all the bowl games.

I guess I need to point out I did not WATCH all of these games. My life is not that boring. I had my playstation hooked up to a small TV in my bedroom. Many times I would get a game going CPU vs. CPU and then come back later to see the result. I guess it takes a lot of time to set each game up though.

In the end it's just a fun journey to see who comes out on top, without any of your own intervention. There are upsets and blowouts. Just like the real sporting world.

Only got 1 game in last night it was a good game between the Nats and the Cubs, where Marmol had a shaky 9th but held on for a 5-4 win. 26 down 2404 to go

im not sure if i understand this right but you expect to play every game, for every team, for 1 year?

it takes me about an hour to complete 1 game, i dont see how you can play 6-8 hours a day playing a sports game...

This thread has inspired me to finish a season with one team at least.lol
