Okay here is my observation/impressions, I installed the new patch 1.16 this am and played 6 or so RTTS games with no problems. In one of those games now all of a sudden I get two bloop singles one to center and one to right of which I had not seen playing before which very nice and unexpected, so far no problems. I am in May 2015 with the Marlins so I simmed past the All Star game to the end of my RTTS season with no freezes then onto the post season and to the next spring 2016 and still no problems, I hope that it continues. Really this game is awesome I enjoy it very much.
Note : I don't play franchise or online ( just Season and RTTS only )

I'm playing with Scott's rerated roster...in 7 games in my franchise, there are 12 complete games.

Anybody else running into this? In one start, Randy Wolf went 9 IPs with 154 pitches which is extremely unrealistic.

This is good to hear. I have held off on my RTTS since I D/L'd 1.16, due to all the issues I have been reading about. I am at the end of May right now, and am really enjoying this RTTS.
For some reason, I feel more invested into it this year, and didn't want to lose it due to the patch locking it up or something.

Yeah, I had held off on installing the new patch since it came out, I decided to upload it anyway as I was hearing about the better game play, so hopefully they will resolve the other issues soon and I hope I wont have any either.

FYI : I have not had any problems with either patches so far, I must be living right , lucky or something, LOL

I may have found a work around.

I was getting the crash when attempting to advance my RttS career, so I deleted the patch data, and finished out my current season. As Soon as the World Series was done and all games had been played for the season. I saved my RttS. I then backed up my save. Then I installed the 1.16 patch a loaded my save file from after the World Series. I was able to successfully advance to the off-season and then into the next season and play games with no issues.

I don't know why so many others are having problems with the new patch, but it's pretty much the best thing that could have happened for me. Cross platform was broken with 1.06 so I haven't even been playing the game over the last almost two weeks because my save was stuck on the PS3 and I did most of my baseball playing on my Vita.

Backed up the save from the PS3 on a thumb drive just in case, loaded the patch, Play Next Appearance worked fine, no freezes. Played one game, uploaded to cloud, loaded onto Vita, success! So I say thank you to the devs for this patch because it fixed my ability to play cross platform again.

The save in question was an RTTS in Sept. 2016, so already quite a lot of time invested and I wasn't about to start over.

I really just don't get the circumstances regarding which files are safe to patch (and continue), and which aren't?

I am on approximately May 19th of a 1.05 Franchise. I really want this patch, but I can't tell how susceptible I'd be to a freeze? I'm before the AS break (which is aparrently a good thing), but I'm still so unsure...

Any words of wisdom?

I haven't downloaded the patch yet.

I only have 1 franchise going right now and I believe it's still in April(in like 2014 or something though), will I be fine?

I also have a RTTS file in April 2013, will that be fine too?

Is there anything else I need to know other than if the things I listed above are ok?

Everyone seems to be having different results so the only way to know if you'll be fine is to try it. Just back up the saves on a flash drive before you patch so you can delete the patch and still have your saves if something goes wrong.

I'm ok thus far after a couple of games on my PS3. I haven't tried cross platform on my Vita since 1.16, but it was working fine after 1.06. I started my franchise with Knight's rosters on whatever day they were released, so whichever version we were at then (1.05?) is what was used to start up my franchise. Again, I've not run into any issues thus far, though I did have to sim the last week and a half of April due to 1.06 ****ing things up for other people/messing with cross-platform saves.

My franchise is mid-May at the moment. I'm a little unclear as to the ASG issues people are having though - is it only those who were right around that date in their franchises, or will I have issues when I get there down the road in mine?

I am in mid June in my franchise. I should be good to go since I am before the all-star break right? However, will I encounter the postseason games gone missing box score issue? Thanks.

I had a season that I had started prior to 1.06. I think I had only played one day of that season when 1.06 dropped. I downloaded that patch, and never had a problem with freezes.

I also downloaded 1.16 when it came out and never had a problem.

I recently uploaded the season to the cloud(Vita), just to see if that would work properly.

Everything appears ok there.

There is one mysterious thing though. The game played between Oakland and Seattle on Thursday, April 5 has completely disappeared. It's like the game wasn't even played although the stats for the players in that game appeared to stay.

I guess it's no big deal, but those teams look like they are going to only play 161 games now.

I wonder if the devs took that game out on purpose to avoid any freezes. I know it was one of the problems with the 1.06 patch because the scheduled changed on that release.

Interesting. I guess that could be? I was too scared of checking anything in the month of April when 1.06 dropped and people were having all those issues.

My post about scea being aware was about the missing box scores issue. I would assume they are aware about the freezes too, but I didn't actually talk to anyone about that one, so I want to make that clear. I can PM tomorrow (posting from iphone or else id do it now) morning and ask...

Someone else is welcome to PM also if they so desire... Just post here if you do, since I don't want 40 of us all PMing one guy about the same thing...

BPBlues- quick question, did it freeze only after you advanced past the ASB?
Meaning, you downloaded 1.16 played a few games(or even 1 or 2), pre ASB, then as soon as the ASB came and went, then the game froze?

Or, you were right at the ASB, downloaded the patch, and went to play and it froze?

I only ask because I am tyring to really decide if I want to move on with one of my RTTS. Each year I do one totally legit player, with harder settings/sliders. I also do one player that I roid out with RTTS points. I'd hate to lose the 20.00 or so bucks I spent on this guy because the game freezes once I get to the ASB break.

Any info is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
