Re: OS Arbitration Panel Project 2012
We have never stated that we would give up Rizzo or Jackson under any circumstances. They are our top 2 prospects in a very depleted system. If you would like to talk about a deal that might include Shields and Archer, for the likes of McNutt, Lake, Marmol, and/or LaHair, we might listen. I know you've been shopping Shields, and we think we will have the payroll available to resign him.Comment

First things first. Harper just isn't going to happen. There is no package we can do that would include him. The only interesting players on your trading block are Farnsworth and Peralta, depending on where our bullpen is ranked in your league. Send me some stats over and a list of other players you like and maybe we can work something out.

RE: Marmol
It is mid May as we send you this e-mail, and we are currently in a game, but we noticed you have put Carlos Marmol on the trading block. We may or may not be interested in him depending on what you want. We like his work ethic and think he has a hard slider. We are afraid that he has progressed to his fullest right now, and will only regress if we were to acquire him and sign him to a 3 or so year deal. We will follow up with you and give you his stats and what we are willign to give you once our game is over.

RE: Marmol
Now that our game is over (we lost, what's new?) we are willing to begin negotiations for Marmol if you feel comfortable dealing him away. Currently he is 0-2 with a 3.75 ERA 11 Saves 14 K's and 9 BB's. It appears as if he is on a cold streak, and looking at your most recent game against the Reds, he blw a 3 run lead in the 9th and the game ended up going 17 innings, which resulted in a loss for your team. We are willing to offer you a B and a C prospect, assuming you're looking to rebuild, otherwise we can give you some sort of veteran of your choice. We are willing to give you:
Charlie Morton (SP) - We understand he may not fit your rebuilding process if that's what you're aiming for (8.5 Games back in may). but considering this offer may just be starting negotiations we felt we could add him. 1-3 4.31 ERA 21 K's 7 BB's 42.2 IP
Daniel Moskos (RP) - 0-2 6.35 ERA 1 SV 6 K's 3 BB's. At just 25, we feel Moskos has a lot of room to progress, and take over the bullpen spot you're losing in Marmol. He does have a C potential and is pretty raw skill wise, but the ability is there if you give him patience. He is a rookie in the MLB so he can only get better with more experience.
Colton Cain (SP) - 1-2 5.40 ERA 11 K's 3 BB's in AAA, 15 IP. We feel Cain can go straight to your farm system rotation and be MLB ready in as little as 2 years. We like his stuff but he really won't blow anyone away. Again, with patience, his B potential could easily be raised.
We MAY also want a B or C prospect in return with Marmol depending on whether or not you're willing to give one up. Feel free to decline or counter offer depending on how you fell with this deal.

First off we will tell you our untouchable prospects, Will Middlebrooks, Anthony Ranaudo, Matt Barnes, Ryan Lavarnway, Xander Bogaerts, and Garin Cecchini.
Now for stats for Aaron Cook. Cook started out in MLB due to an early injury to Melancon and up there he pitched in 19 games, 22.1 IP, 7 H, 1 HR, and an ERA of 1.89. Down in AAA he has been doing an okay job in the rotation he has 9 starts, 3.13 ERA, 46 IP, 35 K, 1-3 record.Come hang with me on YouTube! We don't really see a fit for Wells on our team, but we may be willing to take him. Would you be willing to give up Candelario instead? (sorry if I butchered that name. wrote it from memory). We understand if your current plan doesn't involve giving up Candelario, and may be willing to take Wells instead.
Haha that's quite alright. We all need to get our fix of other games too!

I should've done that, as I was looking at Greinke. Dunno why I didn't.
To: Milwaukee Brewers

Subject: Zack Grienke
What would the price be on Greinke? How are his stats like? I'd be open to giving you something like Drabek, Syndergaard and Snider. That's a high B, VERY high B, and a mid-B (respectively).
Best of luck."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Hey Jerry, How's the wife and kids? I'm contacting you regarding Mark Trumbo. We would like to know if you would be interested in trading him.
I couldn't help but notice that he's been on your bench quite a bit here lately. Now what would it take to pry him from you?

I doubt you'd do this, but would you give up Marmol, Jay Jackson, and Vogelbach? I like Golden, I just think I'm too cluttered with OF prospects to have any place for him. If not, what about Jackson, Marmol, and Lake maybe? If I'm asking for too much, I'd do just Marmol and Jackson and give you who I offered earlier.Comment
