I agree with Bugle here, no way one of the best young pitchers in the game, who your team just gave a long term contract to, would be exchanged for some decent pitching prospects and an underachieving RF. Just my thoughts man, you're the rep but i feel you're just giving Bumgarner away.

Re: OS Arbitration Panel Project 2012
Just adding to this to help you Acmilan1999. Arencibia would be the DH, and Hedges would be the catcher. Hedges is a great defensive catcher who is 19. I'm not sure how good he gets as a Hitter, I'll check my RTTS, but he will be a gold glove catcher, while Arencibia could win the hank Aaron award.
Sounds good. Just don't give away Baumgarner, he's a top talent and you should expect- and take nothing less than- an amazing return."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: OS Arbitration Panel Project 2012
Yeah Harper and Strasburg are definatly mainstays, there is no way we would ever trade them. I also see Trout just as high, the Angels would never trade him away. I think even a trade of austin jackson, with Verlander and anyone thrown it wouldnt pry anyone away.Comment

Since those players are no longer available, we will keep Mr. Madison in the better looking black and orange uniform. However, my offer for Hardy still stands and consider Huff and Zito on the block.Comment

I'll counter by adding Bautista and removing hedges but by adding Zito or Huff on my endComment

Are you sure you don't want to still do a deal? We could include Hardy, a guy like Mark Reynolds(will have DH turned on in mine) and Brian Roberts to play 2B. With Roberts, you could put Hardy at SS. We could also take on contracts of either Huff and or Zito.Comment

Re: OS Arbitration Panel Project 2012
This is kinda unfair Posey is very good your giving him back a guy who's gonna have to be a reliever when he comes back from TJ and 2 catchers, one who has hitting concerns, and the other isn't amazing, but a solid hitterComment

Not everyone is such a downer on Drabek, you know. And Arencibia has 30 HR power consistently, Austin Hedges is a top prospect, and Buster Posey's injury from last year scares the heck out of me (and if I do acquire him, I'm editing down his durability)."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

You can't give Hardy, Reynolds, and Roberts for Buster Posey. I'm sorry, but that is completely ridiculous.

RE: Proposed Wandy/Crosby trade.
We are definitely interested in this deal, but we wonder if any of our other relievers other than Al A. would tickle your fancy... we are very high on Al here, and would consider him the jewel of this deal, even if you consider Crosby the jewel of it.
It wouldn't be a stalling point, but we'd wonder if we have any other options you'd be interested in...
Just trying to simulate the feelings of Leyland and Dave D. on this -- they really, really like Al!
To be clear, I think its a fair trade on its face and you could do it with confidence and approval... I just think the Tigers would try to give up a different bullpen arm (almost anyone other than he or Schlereth, I'd say...)
Either way, thanks as always for the in-depth amount of information provided in this negotiation. Always a pleasure working with you!

RE: Proposed Wandy/Crosby trade.
We understand your reluctance in including Albaquerque into the deal.
However, we would still like to try to persuade you, and manager Leyland, to let him go. I think that if I was to add Brett Myers into the deal, that would soften the blow for you guys. Myers is currently in 3rd place in the NL in saves with 24. He has an ERA of 4.30 and 29 Ks in 29.1 innings. He has been really hot as of late. We believe that with Myers you are receiving an upgrade over Alb who has a 5.34 ERA, and he could also slide right into the setup role, replacing Benoit who has a 4.73 ERA.
If after reading this you are still unwilling to trade Albaquerque, we could ask for something else, but understand that we really need a young bullpen arm who can help us right now.
Thanks for your time, we will be waiting for a response.
Sincerely,
~The Houston AstrosBIG BLUE ALL IN!!!
