Go into Scouting Focus, and uncheck auto.

Does anyone really care where I sent this from?

I was wondering what the most An 'A' potential player can gain in one attribute. I usually send an 18-19 year old prospect to single A for the year to focus on their training assignments. However, the most ive ever gained was +5 in all attributes. Am I doing something wrong?

How do you guys handle training assignments and player development?

+5 is solid for one year, and I'm pretty sure it's the max you can develop one attribute per year. As soon as you see it's +5, I'd move on to a different attribute.

Oh I didn't know that...I guess I'm doing good then as I get +5 for every attribute by the end of te year

Send to A ball for roughly half of the Minor League season then ship him out to AA if you feel comfortable. It sounds like he would handle it fine. Leave him there for the rest of the season

            Year 2
Depending on how well he has developed you may want to think him going to AAA sometime that year. However I recommend you start him in AA allow him to collect around 250-300 at bats and hopefully send him to AAA by the end of the year.

            Year 3
If he played well in his stint with AAA keep him there for at least 1 half year then consider him for a callup or wait until the rosters are expanded in September.

            Year 4
Place into Major League Spring Training and see how he fares against the competition, if he does well, then start him at the Major League level, If not, send him to AAA to collect 150 at bats and he should be ready to go.
This is what I basically always do with an A pot. player no matter how good he is I almost Always do a year in each minor league then by year 4 you can see what you've got and 3 options to boot

If you offered them arbitration, 1 supplemental round pick each. If you didn't offer them arbitration you get nothing.

I offered them both arbitration. Will the picks be in the supplemental round after round 1?

Re: The Official Draft Discussion Thread

I'm addicted to the draft haha. I simmed 5 whole seasons just to see what I would get in each draft...
My best one was the first one (2012) . I got 4 A's and 1B

                        The A's were 2 1B, 1 2B, and 1 CF. The B was a 3B. I was pretty excited.
I noticed the CPU picks SP and RP the first few rounds. Then they tend to go for the 2B/3B. Then, they go after the 1B players. They go after the outfielders last, I think ( well in this draft they did)
I snagged the 2B first, then the two 1B players, and the CF in the 4th round. It was an intense draft, this was using scott's new rosters btw,

I posted this the Astro thread and NFG4M advised me to come here:

                          <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" width="100%"><tbody><tr><td style="background-image: url('/vBulletin/images/quotes/04.gif');width:37px;height:1px;" width="37">

How important is it to draft a guy based on his potential compared to his ratings?

There is a stud 3B who almost maxed out in all hitting ratings, but has a potential of D.

                          What do you think?

                          </td></tr></tbody></table>

If the guy is almost MAXED OUT, put him in AA, wait until he gets on a hot streak, and put him in Single A. This will bump up his potential every once in a while. What are his ratings?

Holy mother of god! Draft that sucker! He's only 19. I'm sure he'll rake enough to get him to B potential by the time he's 21.
