Re: The Official Draft Discussion Thread
The guy I posted about earlier won ROY in 2019 with 16 HR and a .250 BA. Hit .275 in 2020 with 28 bombs. Kid's only 22.
Other interesting tidbits: I'm thinking that Mike Stanton might just break the all time HR record. And after Craig Kimbrel's 62 save 2020, I have no doubt that he'll end up the all time saves leader.
Does anyone really care where I sent this from?

Re: The Official Draft Discussion Thread
I was scanning the thread and didn't see anything about this.....Instead of starting a new thread I figured I'd post this here first.....
So anyways, I noticed something troubling today in the second year of my Franchise.
I recently had my draft, and I went into check on my scouting and what I noticed was that all the players I drafted are still in the scouting player pool.
The only thing I could think of was maybe it had something to do with the fact I had not signed them yet, but I tested by signing a guy and he was still there in the scouting screen as a potential pick.
So now I'm figuring it's either completely screwy (and I wonder if it's not just my guys but all players from the past draft) or is there any chance players always stay there until the next season and it's simply something I've never noticed until now?
Any info/comments appreciated.Comment

It's because the game doesn't recognize them as part of your roster until the end of the year, because they can't play games. If they're not part of your roster, and they're not FAs, they have to go somewhere. They just stay in the pool."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: The Official Draft Discussion Thread
Ok so Im just seeing this thread and its really made me look at how I develop players. My question is this..
Im using the Mets with Knights Rosters and Im wondering how I should go about developing guys. I have guys like Zack Wheeler who I started in AAA to begin the season and he struggled 3-4 ERA well over 3. Then he got hurt and after seeing this forum I put him back in AA. How should I go about developing him for the 1st of the season and in the future? Also is it ok to move guys up and down between AAA and AA when they are struggling/ playing well?
Also one last thing. I also have Matt Harvey on these Rosters and he's 12-2 1.56 ERA in AAA. Im thinking about calling him up soon just to see what he can do. We r in last place and 20 games below.500 so its not going to hurt the team. Good Idea or No?

I would look at Royals19s plan for Mike Montgomeery and go about that wayComment

Re: The Official Draft Discussion Thread
just did a draft in 2014 in my marlins franchise and in the past( in a different chise) i drafted a 3B with power at 82/86 right out of the draft and A pot. he was blocked by miggy at 3rd, but when he got up to the show he had 98/99 and CRUSHED the ball. but i digress, so in the 2014 draft i was looking around and saw that some guys had massive power (any where from 1/2 - 2/3) of the way full and really good contact and decent fielding and speed too, and i looked and saw that at least 3 players like this had F overall, and i was just like what? i would think some of them would be B's at least, so i was wondering how the game figured pot. in these drafts, i sort of feel it should be partly based on ratings for new players, and i didnt draft any of them because i knew they would never advance in my system. is the show scouting ever wrong?Comment

Re: The Official Draft Discussion Thread
I wasn't sure where to post this question, whether I should in here or in a roster forum. So my question is, during a franchise do they have all the coaches a real team does? for instance are the base coaches accurate to the real base coaches for teams, and are the GMs featured in the game? and one last question, are there real life scouts in the game? thanks!Comment

Re: The Official Draft Discussion Thread
I just finished the draft in my franchise. Drafted a C with A potential and a D with B potential. I will be using Royal's Development Guide, with some slight changes."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment
