you may bring that on the table at the Community Day then. Should be interesting what the devs have to say about it !!

I have found that if you show reoccurring examples of an issue that has some validity, the team is very receptive. It is all in the presentation!

there is no comeback code but I do beleive there is a home field code.. even if I am leading 8-0 on the road and i decide to sim from the 5th inning sure enough by the 9th inning the score is 8-7 same goes for if I am the home team I know I will always come back becaue the CPU will start throwing errors and doing stupid things/

there is something there that favours home teams thats for sure

I don't believe in the comeback code but I'm human and there are times when I have my doubts.

Last night I was playing my Rangers franchise against Oakland. Completely dominated the game for 7 innings and had a 3-0 lead heading into the 8th. Demptser had only given up 3 hits but he was spent after throwing well over 100 pitches. I bring in Mark Lowe and had Mike Adams warming up just in case something got started. First pitch I throw with Lowe is a fastball right down the middle that exits over the left field wall. I SMH and take a deep breath and try to relax for a second. Didn't help.....

Next batter is Weeks and he somehow rips a down and in fastball to the opposite field for a single. Take a mound visit to give Adams a little more time and Lowe gets the next batter to fly out to left on hard hit line drive. Next batter is Cepedes and I decide to go ahead and bring in Adams and shut the door. Well I end up pitching him carefully and walking him. Next batter is Gomes and proceeds to rip a double into the right center gap, game tied! Thats followed by a sinlgle to right that allows Gomes to score and they take the lead. and go on to win 4-3.

Not gonna lie I was pretty fricking hot as the whole month of June in my franchise has been subpar and the two series before this I pretty much got destroyed by Colorado and Detroit. Can't get any momentum, I win one lose one, win two lose two, etc etc.

But being a Ranger fan I think back to last years World Series and how they were 1 out, hell one strike away two innings in a row and couldn't seal the deal. This game does an excellent job of replicating those situations, at times though it does seem to happen a bit more than it should.

I also believe there is something that favors the home team as well. It's something that allows them to bat last if they are trailing. Weird, I know. It seems to happen in every game as well.

I don't see any of that anymore after changing a couple sliders.

Explain why the home team ALWAYS comes back even if you sim after looking unbeatbale after 6 innings, it happens ALL THE TIME. same with error all of a sudden if I am at home I know i will come back because the CPU all of a sudden forgets how to play and throws it 10 feet above the first place head into row 56. it never happens in the 1st innings

I tend to mess up in the later innings also. So lately I've been putting in defensive replacements to help out a bit. It's proven a solid tactic for me lately, so I'll stick with it. Lol.

Does the clutch attribute affect defense in anyway? If it does, maybe that's why some players make key errors late in a tight game?

It doesn't ALWAYS happen. If it happened ALL THE TIME, there would be actual hard proof of it happening. I've seen the CPU get back to back errors in games where I've been winning. I've stomped the CPU a few times in terrible one sided affairs. I've also seen the CPU come back a number of times too when I make bad decisions as a manager.

That last part is key. You can't assume that you are going to cruse through every single game. If you leave your pitchers in too long, or if you throw the same stuff over and over, or if you make bad decisions on defense, or if you swing at everything toward the end of the game, YOU WILL BE FOUND OUT.

Sometimes, you just have to admit when it a) isn't your day, or b) when you've made a mistake managing your team. The CPU doesn't have it out for you; SCEA has no reason to put that in the game.

                        Re: Late inning goofiness

This is not an EA sports game!

how do you think the texas rangers felt in 2011, or how do you think the REDS felt after dominating the giants for 2 games and having a lead in game 3 at home only to lose 3 straight. SCOTT ROLEN bobbled the throw in extra innings to allow the giants to score on an infield single. Giants had like 3 hits that game! It happens bro.

make sure you have good defensive substitutions for the last two innings maybe three depending on where you are in your batting order.

for example, i am the mariners and i always put ichiro in late innings on defense. I just can't trust these D and C fielders because they do make mistakes. if you have a pitcher who for some reason is not throwing strikes then you need to bring in someone new despite how fresh or highly rated the guy is, some pitchers are better out of the stretch while some are a train wreck waiting to happen.

pure analog THROWING. it's all on you bro.

Just curious how anyone can tell someone else they are not experiencing a comeback regularly. I get them all the time. And the response from the naysayers is 'no you don't. Haha ok thanks for telling me what I experience in my game that I've played 6 full seasons of. Like the game, I don't think it is programmed to happen that way, but fact of the matter is ridiculous comebacks happen on a regular basis in my rtts with me being the SS. So I have no effect on my teams pitching
