Not sure if any one caught this or if it is new... the team logos on the base when Harper slides into 2nd

That is not new and I think has been in the game for a while now.

I think we can. I don't see the words diamond dynasty anywhere on the screenshot. Why would they just flash it for a second if it was Diamond Dynasty, something that came out last year, so if they really wanted to show it, you think they would show longer then half a second and it wasn't really a popular feature after the first month or so.

I wouldn't put too much faith in that one screen. I've seen people get their hopes up, then realize they made a lot out of nothing and then get mad at the developers. It's nice to know we can extract colors from the current MLB teams, but let's wait a while before getting excited about a possible create-a-team mode.

What about when there is a trade in real life?

Like for "exibition mode" when the new rosters are released would the player on his new team have his new hat with a Cyberface or will he still have his real face with his old team hat like in MLB 12 The Show?

I think this is what some of us are trying to find out.

If I had to take a guess, I'd say it works something like this:

Every real-life photo now has a hidden team value associated with it. A picture of Miguel Cabrera with a Tigers cap has a 'Detroit' tag, if you will, so that basically, the game internally knows what team is associated with the player's photograph.
If at any time, anywhere, the player's current team does not equal that internal "team" tag, a cyber-picture is automatically displayed.

So if you are running off default rosters that are not up-to-date, I'd imagine it would still show the player's old team, since, according to your roster, Miguel Cabrera is still on the Tigers.

However, if you had up-to-date rosters, and Miguel Cabrera was physically on the Braves roster, then it'd show a cyber-picture of him in a Braves cap

Of course this is all totally a guess... but I'd bet money that's how it was done.

Really like the idea that a cyberface pic will show up for any player photo that's been made obsolete (at least that's how I interpreted Ramone and Slab's posts, feel free to correct ).

That has been there for a couple of years already.


The Pirates alts are also in. No rings on the hats.

Couldn't get this one by me even if you tried.





So RttS and HRD now both have some "personal lock on ball" view with a ball trail. Good stuff, only let's hope that trail can optionally be turned off.

Gets me pumped up!

I wouldn't put too much faith in that one screen. I've seen people get their hopes up, then realize they made a lot out of nothing and then get mad at the developers. It's nice to know we can extract colors from the current MLB teams, but let's wait a while before getting excited about a possible create-a-team mode.

I'm probably wrong, but with having the MLB teams' color schemes there, maybe it's showing that we can edit the existing teams' uniforms. I agree that I don't see any point in showing that screen quickly if it is just for Diamond Dynasty, which was in last year. I don't, however, think there will be a create-a-team mode outside of DD.

In OOTP Baseball, I'm pretty sure the cyber shot of a player ages over time. That'd be a nice feature

Sad but valid point. however flashing it just for that seems odd too but seeing as someone "liked" your post who knows...
