I think it could definitely win over baseball fans outside of America that otherwise won't take the effort to import the game like we do.

Especially if they also release it for download in all ps stores (europe!) mid summer for a reduced price.

This way you sell through out the whole season and might convince late buyers to buy the next installment on release day!

I agree..For me its not the fact that i can't get a physical copy of the game since i am in the States..its the fact that I find the digital version very convenient since I do not have to swap my game in and out of my ps3 everytime I want to play a different game. I found myself downloading more games on my Vita because of the convenience factor.

Absolutely, having it on your hard drive is so much more convenient, and saves problems with the optical drive. I have had numerous issues with my PS3 optical drive, none with my Xbox 360. Thus, I kind of shy away from buying discs for the PS3, unless it is a must have game.

While it would be a nice option, with the size of this game and the horrible inefficiencies of the PlayStation Network it's not very practical. I love my PS3 but PSN is so slow and must be running on a horrible old infrastructure, it really is the biggest shame of the system. While a 10 gb or so download should take a few hours to 5-6 hours depending on your connection you are literally looking at 1-3 days of a constant connection and not being able to use your PS3 for anything else to download this game, it's like the Sony servers are on the moon. They must fix this for the PS4 because it's just not acceptable to have downloads on Xbox live come nearly ten times faster.

Talking abt the Vita version, i know it will be available for download on PSN but do you guys think it will be very much from release day on or take some more time? how was it with MLB The Show 12?

I have Madden 13 size 5495 MB downloaded from the PSN and it wasn't an issue.

Keep in mind that with 12 you could choose to install 5 or 10Gb extra for the game to run smoother. So that's 10Gb just extra data. So we can only imagine the actual size on the disc.

I prefer not to imagine as it leaves too much to speculation. I still say give me the opportunity to decide.

Madden is created with the Xbox in mind as its primary console. It's a console that uses DVDs. The Show eats up essentially an entire Blu-ray Disc.

There is a massive difference between those two games in regards to download size.

I would think it would be upward of 40GB, and even at 20GB they would be alienating a small portion of their userbase.
