Re: Community Day 2013 - FRANCHISE MODE/EDITOR
I think right now...your guy just goes to the mound warm ready to pitch to batter.
Godgers....right now they've replaced the current scouting/draft and training areas of franchise....reworked the team budgets and strategies....added some new dimension to player personnel(pull tendencies etc) and I'm sure there are others as well.
I'll know more in a little over a week and will report in as much detail as quickly as I will be allowed.
I'm excited for some changes to franchise mode!
Sheamazin'...
If you mean when using 30 team control.....I don't think you can check off which games you intend on playing and the rest auto sim(I want that so badly myself....)....but I'll see if they can get that in somehow...

I don't think so.
This is just my guess...but it seems as though the original roster is "locked" and can be looked at by the MLB...but subsequent players added are a little more lax in the checking area and that's when we get a player that is editable.
I can ask though...and will.

Re: Community Day 2013 - FRANCHISE MODE/EDITOR
The draft in the Show seems so dull, and uneventful. It is ALWAYS the highest rated players that go in order. A team could have a beast rotation and another 4-5 top pitching prospects on the way, but if the top rated player is a pitcher they will take him. Not to mention it lacks a gem/bust feature.
Some elements I would like to see added are in no particular order...
- Prospects with various signability issues that slide as a result.
- The international signing period
- Full 50 round draft, with more in depth minor league teams; Rookie league, low A, VSL ect.
- Gems and busts, it would be nice to draft an Albert Pujols in the 13th round
- Better draft AI
- Better in game draft coverage, give some players storylines, like we see in Madden.
That is all I can think of for now. Oh, and Knight, I'm probably dumb but what are "Pull tendencies"?Green Bay PackersSeattle MarinersNew York Rangers

Just an fyi the way baseball drafts work in real life is the team selects the best ovl player. The reason for this is the length of time for player development in baseball. Others sports draft by need.Comment

Those spray chart numbers(the one you see when you hit select(?) with the field split in three....will matter more now.
Also...the draft has been reworked as well as scouting. I don't know exactly what we'll see yet, but it should be more interesting.
We'll definitely let you guys know A.S.A.P.

Not dumb....it's the hitters tendency to primarily be a pull hitter...opposite field hitter or neutral(balanced hitter).

Another thing I would like is a player finder. It is hard to find players after like the 2nd or 3rd seasons. It's hard to keep up with everyone switching teams and such.Green Bay PackersSeattle MarinersNew York Rangers

That's not in '13...but high on the running list I have for Aaron and Co.
(as well as trade finder/counter offer in trades...they do have ideas for this one....again probably not in '13, but I would expect this in '14)

Re: Community Day 2013 - FRANCHISE MODE/EDITOR
2 things. I know the fact sheet comes out tomorrow but these are subtle things may not even be addressed.
Is batting practice and/or any team practice modes going to be available in season and franchise mode. It would be great to use BP and work with a callup or struggling player. I campaigned for this a little bit this summer.
I also saw in NHL 13, we have practice mode available in franchise allowing us to hold daily practices and work on unlimited number of things if we see fit. I think it's also time we see this in franchise, it's not really a complex thing to do. Just taking the existing practice modes, or the BP we get for RTTS and letting them be available in season/franchise would be just perfect alone.
2nd thing, I never played in the A.L side of Franchise mode , I was wondering if the Red Sox standings on the Green Monster are going to be accurate through the season. And any other stadiums that have a feature like this, I think SF has one and NYY if I'm not mistaken.
also, I have to ask.. injury tracking. I campaigned hard for this to. Will we be seeing any of this touched upon for franchise mode. Will will be able to see a history of a players injuries on their player cards and will they matter for a players development and his attributes through a season or even over the course of his career. It doesn't have to be a track of all real life injuries from past season, just the injuries throughout the seasons starting in MLB 13' franchise mode.Last edited by @legendm0de; 01-14-2013, 12:59 AM.Red LegendComment

Re: Community Day 2013 - FRANCHISE MODE/EDITOR
I would love to know the following things:
- When players are drafted, do they still sit out the rest of that season, or can they go to the minors and play?
- Can you re-sign players during the season?
- Does potential change/can it be edited?
