That has been what I've read as well, doesn't mean 4gb of usable space though.

But that is why I am confused about this whole storage limit argument. It doesn't seem like they've hit it yet. Or did they actually hit it this year?

I read somewhere that the presentation updates for the playoffs was 6 GB for the main game. You would think that it would be something they could scale down for the Vita version but even with a scaling down it would more than fill up that .8 GB between what last year's game was and the ultimate limit of the Vita Cartridges.

Sorry if this has been answered, but I've read that they won't be doing the Crossbuy where you get the Vita version for free with the PS3 version but has there been anything on whether or not they will offer the 2 at a discount, like when they sold both for $80 (basically half off the Vita version if you bought them together). Its the first time that I'll have a PS3 and can get the Show, but I know I won't get very deep in any of the modes if I can't play on the go, because I simply won't be able to put enough time in on the console version. I'd love to get it at release but I may wait until the first price drop for one or both of the versions.

The crowd looks a lot better too. I took a picture of 12 and 13 running side by side, but I'll have to get permission to post it first.

Playoff Mode is in the Vita version, but all the playoff specific sounds aren't. So it will sound like a regular game when playing on the Vita.

Playoff Mode is in the Vita version, but all the playoff specific sounds aren't. So it will sound like a regular game when playing on the Vita.

LOL, That makes zero sense to me, your putting a mode called Playoff mode in the Vita just like the PS3 version but then in the Vita it plays like a regular game. I'm sorry what was he point.


Listen to be 100% honest, I played the Vita so much more then the PS3 version, and I want to again this year, but man I know they were handcuffed with the Memory, but I wish full playoff mode was in.

Having the playoff structure (brackets and series, and being able to select the teams in them), which has never been in a version of the Show before?

I was under the impression all the sounds and perks and atmosphere of the Play off mode made it in..

Is actually nothing of the audio/presentation of the postseason mode included at all or did at least a little bit of it make it into the game? Anybody knows?

Btw, read on several PS Vita forums that this limitation to 4gb wont stand forever, Sony will likely introduce 8gb cartridges at some point in the future. I guess that will probably necessary especially for games like The Show. I mean with the cart being full this year already there wouldnt be much room for future major additions and improvements.

From what I understood, not everything of the new playoff presentation got cut. At least that was what I thought.

It the games dont at least have a different visual look and some audio during franchise and RTTS, I have to agree with others...What is the point?

I'd much rather take more presentation than the mode itself. There must be more to it than just being able to play a tournament with MLB teams. They wouldn't even include that mode at all if it didn't have something different. Different overlays, logos on field, etc. Things like that must at least be in the game right?

Can anyone clarify exactly what is NOT in the Vita version compared to the PS3 version?

It does have playoff presentation. There was playoff presentation in '12. It's just that everything couldn't make it in... The (old) playoff music, graphics, stadium buntings, etc. are still there... but all of the new sounds did not make it. They added a ton of new presentation stuff for '13, from audio, to commentary, to pre- and post-game stuff, celebrations and more. Not all of those made it into the Vita version.

I guess I should have said it will play like a playoff game from MLB 12 Vita. Although, with slightly more presentation.

I was under the impression that it wasn't just audio that made the PS3 version of playoff games "better". Is the visual presentation of the games in the Vita version at least on par with the PS3 game? Or is that also cut?
