We already know that it was cut by default, because the Vita does not have full broadcast presentation. Last year it had Fast Play (or very Fast Play if you will), but more was added overall to '13, by many people's request, but it is still considered Fast Play. The Vita version, whether exhibition, postseason was never designed to have all the cutscenes and stuff.

I guess I don't mean cutscenes, I mean the smaller changes to postseason games that the PS3 version will have. I don't expect the cutscenes to be in or the audio I know that stuff is cut already. I'm talking about for example if the PS3 version gets a new logo for the NLDS or the Wildcard game I want that in the Vita version. Smaller things like that.

I'd like to have all the other bells and whistles PS3 has but as long as the proper playoff brackets are in I can live with it. Had a great time with last year's version and I expect to have just as great a time with this years. While last years PS3 version looked better, had custom cameras, and more optons as a whole, I still had more fun playing it on the Vita.

Check out the presentation elements of pro yaku on the vita. This is what I want to see with the show eventually

I guess knowing we have a set limit on card space and many want more presentation, what would you want taken out? Just curious at what some would want to see sacrificed in order to get more presentation.

Pre-rendered cut scenes have gone the way of the dodo IMO. I would prefer no cut scenes if it meant to not take anything out in The Show.

Speaking of which, I think that could be SCEA's next move for the PS3 version. I know they have many, many pre-rendered cut scenes, and some are beautiful, awesome, funny, interesting, etc. However, if they want to get more room, that might be the next thing that has to go. RTP is the way of the future (or TBP or whatever).

I posted a video of the proyaku spirits 2012 vita version already in the other thread. what I like the most is how the crowd looks and that there is no framerate stuttering. while the cut scenes are nice I have to say that even the fast play of the show 12 is still too slow for me, I find myself continuously pressing X even in that limited amout of cut scenes. it's nice tho that they added home run trots, like to sit back and take a deep breath right after such events.
same at the end of games. I read they added the man of the match osd, how is it otherwise? last strike/hit, cut, man if match screen popping up, the end? or some celebrations from time to time?

A little bit of everything if it had to be cut to facilitate other features. Audio bitrate, some reduction in textures if needed. Those are little things I could live with to pack more into the game. Because of the handheld nature of the Vita, I don't really care about the visual fidelity. If I want that there is the PS3 vesion.

If they could get in just a bit more of the postseason audio, by reducing the rest of the audio a bit as well. I'd say some people would take that trade off.

I didn't try this with the new game at the CD event, but for MLB 12 my impression was that the game was already sacrificing the audio fidelity quite a bit (I think the output was monaural in Vita) to save for something else.

It was, but the audio for a handheld game is not the first thing people tend to care about. The speakers on the Vita aren't even good enough to really tell. You'd probably need to use headphones to even tell the audio bitrate was dropped again. Unless its already so low any more would give distortion.

Yep, if you listen to this game while playing headphones, you'll notice the audio bitrates are extremely compressed.

I guess that's what I mean. I wonder if the general feelings on this are that its compressed enough an to stop, or if people would allow it to be reduced even more if it meant you can get X, whatever amount that is, of new audio in.

To be honest, I'd rather see old audio cut as in some of the old Vasgersian audio that's been in the game for many years if it meant new postseason audio or other new recorded audio to be in the game.

Great looking game ..... can this game be played on US versions of the Vita... granted I may not be able to adjust my settings due to it being in Japanese , or understand the play by play ..... but I would still love to play this game
