Some of these questions are really good and I'm bummed that they weren't in here earlier so I could actually ask them at CES.
I will be more than happy to donate to the cause. I understand the amount of sacrifices you must have made to attend this event all three days. With family, work and everyday life, there would be no way for me to dedicate the time you did to provide us all with valuable information about the game we love. I commend you for your time and effort.

To me, this game is and will be the game of the year. I won't need to buy any other games because I can play this game year round without being bored of it. Despite people's criticism, I find this game perfect and suits my needs in a baseball game more than I ever thought.

Between you providing info early on from CES, the upcoming Community Day (week) and all the SCEA game developers actively on OS giving us info, it makes it easier to be more patient for this game to be released. Thank you to all who has and will continue to be involved in making sacrifices and providing us all early information! Your commitment to us does not go unnoticed.

He brings up a good point... how will this work? I don't make rosters personally but I'm curious and it's definitely worth discussing... I believe Russell mentioned the attribute will be hidden? Does that mean roster guys will have no clue which attribute their created players will have? So when guys are doing those OSFM rosters... they are going to have to test every single player out somehow? OR just ignore the attribute altogether? Neither option sounds very appealing...

For the already generated players...it's already there. Just match it up with the right potential....and once you have a tendency player...you can import him to create the players you know who are pull/bal/whatever.

Honestly...I doubt that 1% of the users know the minor league player tendencies beforehand anyway though.

Although I do agree, we maybe getting a little overhead of ourselves. We're not sure exactly how much of an impact the tendencies have on the game yet as we haven't gotten full detail on them yet. Also, I don't believe, although I could be incorrect, that we have enough data on minor leaguers to accurately represent the tendencies anyway. All that being said, it certainly is an oppostacle that we have to consider this year.

Honestly I don't really understand the first part of your post... if it's hidden, how will guys be able to match it up?

And yeah minor leaguers wouldn't be known, but imo for an unknown player, the default should be pull (the more minor one, not extreme) or balanced... i'd hate to see random minor leaguers end up with push, as a hitter that truly excels at oppo. hitting is frankly not very common in MLB.

Yeah, I'm kinda scratching my head as to why its not editable... What happens if all of the A potential players are push/extreme push hitters

I may be wrong on this, but I swear that spray charts were on the player card last year... If not, they definitely should be this year, or some kind of blurb about tendencies.

As far as knowing minor league tendencies, the majority of scouting reports (if not all) will specifically mention if a player is a dead pull hitter or if he can take a pitch the other way, so I'm not too worried about that.

                I don't think it's hidden.
It's just not in the editor.
I believe you will see it as you do the spray chart now.

                We'll find out I suppose.

                    Freeze.

Just a quick thankyou for all your efforts answering this plethora of questions at CES.

Your time there was probably more like a job with so many requests, so i hope you got some enjoyment too

Once again thanks for giving up your time for the community.

                      But..
                      1. I think that's in this year
                      2. Not as of the moment...we'll ask if they could add it (scorebug pitch counts)
                      3. I don't think that animation is in.

I would put the pitch count on either the new scorebug or that little box with the pitch type, ball placment and bat swing thingy.

For me the 2 most disappointing things that more then likely will not be in MLB 13 The Show are the "always shown pitch count" during gameplay and no Home Run info popup overlay being shown while the camera is focused on the batter rounding the bases or crossing Home Plate.

Hopfully both of these will be added to MLB 14 The Show if not 13.

Sorry to keep talking about these features so much but I really would like them in the game

Maybe the guys at CD can really beg Sony to get them in!

You mean the swing analysis screen? Only problem is you need to leave that on, something I tend to turn off. Really needs to hover around the score-bug somewhere.

I did stop by the booth this year but Russell was at lunch I presume. I wasn't going to be able to play very long anyways. Russell must of took the controller(s) with him! So I was only able to watch the Mets vs Nats for a few innings.

I saw a couple broke bats (looked like new animation) and 2 homeruns. Wright hit a monster shot down the LF line. The stat overlays were very nice. They appeared at the top of the screen where the old scoreboard use to be but much thicker and orangish in color. The new scorebug is great. I love it.

Sorry, that is all I have to report. I am not going to be able to answer any details I don't think. I was filming it for 10 min in hi-def and realized that I didn't have the record button on. Hard to admit that being a techie. Must really be getting old

Can you expand upon the bolded?
Seems like an odd place for a stat overlay.
                            Orangish?

Something I really really would like to see added in as far as the OSD that flashes between innings is the LOB:

                              R H E LOB

Yes I guess that's what you call it.

I leave it on so it would not be a problem for me. TBS has something like that with the pitch count.

I guess the best way to add it would be just make the new scorebug a tad bigger to fit in the pitch count
