Still no jersey numbers on the players backs in the runner window. Will this be fixed?

Re: MLB The Show 13 Video - New York Yankees vs. Toronto Blue Jays
Russell also mentioned in the video that your batting average will go up, but you're not going to hit .700 or anything like that. This is actually a good thing. I agree with what Russell said in this game you fail 7 out of 10 times, but at least this way when you make supurb contact with a ball you wont always be penalized for it.This opening of the timing window, and making the game more offensive worries me, I'm not going to lie. I thought last years game was fine after you adjusted the sliders. I had a realistic mixture of slug fests, and low scoring nail biters, with plenty of your average 4-2, 5-3 games in there. That's why the sliders are there, if it were perfect for everyone out of the box they wouldn't need sliders. But now I worry that every single game is going to be homerun after homerun, and doubles and triples every at bat. I just worry that every single game is going to be arcade offense. Please ease my mind about this someone. lolComment

I consider myself to be a baseball nut, and like to play realistic SIM sports games, and I thought hitting was just too hard last year. This opening of the timing window, and making the game more offensive worries me, I'm not going to lie. I would either be too early, too late, too under, to over, I felt like non-power hitters couldnt get hits constantly because they couldnt drive the ball or find gaps.
Although this is only one video I already saw something I never seen before in MLB The Show video game....a guy like Brett Gardner get a double!
As Ramone mentioned, it is not making the game a slugfest or easy, just more realistic when it comes to offense.Comment

Re: MLB The Show 13 Video - New York Yankees vs. Toronto Blue Jays
I always felt lik ethe CPU could get those hits in the gap or hit when they needed it most. But if it was the user hitting like you said it would be too early, too late etc....... regaurdless if it was a power hitter or not and whenever you'd get supurb contact and good timing you could never get that base hit you needed or the ball hit in the gap cause it was either hit directly at someone, or the infielder would have some amazing play and rob you of the hit(infielder was phsycic) or the outfielder would track the ball down in the gap or he would already be on the run as the ball is hit and would run the ball down for the out. That was always the frustrating part to me in 12.I consider myself to be a baseball nut, and like to play realistic SIM sports games, and I thought hitting was just too hard last year.

Re: MLB The Show 13 Video - New York Yankees vs. Toronto Blue Jays
Oh okay Misunderstood. An example would be the scorebug, the pitchers repitore that shows up on screen. The swing feedback. Anything displayed on screen can now be turned off.Originally posted by baseballin23I know what it stands for lol but what exactly are we talking about could u give an exampleComment

Even if they did open the timing window, couldn't you just close it some by lowering the slider for it ?This opening of the timing window, and making the game more offensive worries me, I'm not going to lie. Thanks for the early videos!!! But, I was hoping not to see the generic cleats and accessories again this year... Unfortunately they are still there, I will never get how SCEA went about having Nike Undershirts which you can barely see the Logo, but not have Nike cleats and etc. which are highly visible throughout the game... Also, those der bats man... The same old bats with all of them having that damn separation line... Wow, frustrating!Former NYC P.O. - US Army Veteran

Re: MLB The Show 13 Video - New York Yankees vs. Toronto Blue Jays
anyone else notice that the animation when the ball reaches the catchers mitt is awful? looks like it just sticks onto the front of the mitt, instead of being caught/lodged into the mitt...
similar problem with the "glove closing" animation for pitchers/position players that they added last year-- the whole animation is like 5 frames and really jerky.
PYS has done a great job with this little detail for years and it's uncanny how much realism it adds to the whole thing...seems like it's a relatively large mistake/small fix to still be an issue...Comment

There are a couple of new cleats...and the ring on the bat is gone.(it's still there in the editor and probably on some players still...but it's not there if you don't want it.)

Re: MLB The Show 13 Video - New York Yankees vs. Toronto Blue Jays
One thing that I realized from the video is that it seems that we can have the ability to wear sunglasses while batting. I think it was Rasmus that I saw who was wearing glasses while batting. Secondly, wtf happened to Cano's batting stance????Comment

Re: MLB The Show 13 Video - New York Yankees vs. Toronto Blue Jays
Players like ARod, Paul Konerko (I believe) were hard coded to have glasses while at the dish in past games also, we never had the option to enable or disable this option for players for which it was pre-determined. Rasmus might be that case, but I hope they make it so you can enable or disable this option for ALL players.
Maybe in the editor have an 2 separate sections, one labeled "On the field" and second one "At the dish", to determine what they wear when their on defense/offense.
....and about the Cano stance....yea....just yea...tragic to say the leastComment
