Re: MLB 13 The Show Fact Sheet
In the bold is where you are being short sighted. OS is not the sole target audience, actually we are more of the minority in the whole picture. While many here may scratch their head as to why something like that was implemented there was a bigger audience outside of OS that strongly felt the need for it. We are fortunate that SCEA comes here and feeds our hunger for the ultimate baseball simulation but there also needs to be a balance that satisfies the larger buying audience as well.
I agree with this, plus, MLB2K was on the verge of NOT making a 2013.
So where do all those people go? MLB The Show! How to they learn to transition? Through Beginner mode!
Now 2K has gotten the MLB contract and is releasing a 2013. So what! If you dont want to play the Beginner mode, you dont have to. Never did!Comment

Exactly. Part of the reason why I stopped posting in the Madden forums is the "Game Changers" and community leaders are nowhere to be found.BOBTRAIN

Re: MLB 13 The Show Fact Sheet
lots of stuff there, but seeing how im not a diehard baseball fan and dont even play the game with the mlb players, Im gonna stick with last years version.
Wont have to interrupt my franchise and i can still use the fictional rosters from 2012.
The 7 new stadiums is probably my fav thing on that fact sheet.
other things like more fielding cameras,
ability to sim a season with no interruptions,
seeing the ball on bat contact
and create team would have to be in for me to get a new version.
i dont really care about every stance, uniform detail, stadium detail.
animations would be cool to see, but not worth a new game.
maybe i'll end up getting it down the line, but Im content with mlb 12 for now.Comment

not only that, Im in my mid 30's and remember being 8-9-10 and the choice of MLB games I had back then were rather simple to understand and learn the game. Now when my 9 year old son tries to play a game of baseball the only option is The Show and once again if you have grow men complaining about the hitting try being a 9 year old and playing this game.BOBTRAIN

Re: MLB 13 The Show Fact Sheet
However, it seemed what was needed was an overhaul of budgets/contracts , and just as importantly, the potential/progression system. The fact sheet mentions changes in these areas, but until we get more info on how these work, it's hard to speculate. I'm sure tabarnes and Knight will (and have?) put it through the ringer at the community event.
PS - Yes, we want both sides of the discussion. And yes, it is frustrating when threads get derailed by discussion/debates/arguments that aren't all that relevant or mostly come down to someone's preference/opinion.

All I can say is: Haters gonna hate!
Back in the day a game got released and that's that! No community days, no forums where even the developers are on to interact with us and put out feedback threads. Man we got spoiled.
It will never be perfect with everything YOU want in it. Get over it and enjoy this game for what it is: awesome!

Re: MLB 13 The Show Fact Sheet
I have a question for the kind Ramone: has the newspaper been pulled from the game and replaced with something else?
Thanks to all the SCEA team for renewing this great game every single year...Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show Fact Sheet
No, youre not getting too old. I think everyone on here or wherever has every right to make requests and to even air out their grievances, but some people havent a clue how to do that "couthfully".
Calling a Dev out or calling them a liar or lazy or inept is not the way to get your voice heard. Calling the game a POS is certainly, not only not true, but not the way to be taken seriously. Complaining about petty things, while important to them, is not always the top priority with others. So many of the people today dont understand that the typed word can be taken in so many different ways and especially other than the way it was intended.
Im not advocating a full on praise fest, because without complaints or suggestions, this game would be stagnant and would only rely on the imaginations of the Devs. But as I said, there is a right way and a wrong way of doing things and some people dont have the first clue which ways those are.
I love this game, always have, always will. It is the best in the business, but it does have it faults, so do we.
Its up to us, to comprehensively and respectfully request and share ideas with these guys, because, as far as I know, they are not required to be here. Im glad they are and Im glad that even through the BS, they still interact with us and take our suggestions and requests seriously.
I dont know of too many other games that do that!Last edited by Curahee; 01-16-2013, 12:44 PM.Comment
