a ticker and twitter were added, so that shoud help with the immersion.
No more not knowing if Doc threw a no-no or Cano hit 2 grand slams in a game.

Is the twitter stuff gonna be real life twitter feed(meaning you can get updates from your real life account in the game) or is it a game twitter feed(like in NBA2K) with random tweets about your player/team. And if it's just ingame feed, I wonder if we can reply back to people lol. NBA 2K twitter was cool to read, but there's always things in there that makes me wanna reply back to people tweeting

Out of curiosity, this isn't probably meant for this thread, but what's the limit on how old you can be in RTTS this year? Can i be a Jamie Moyer??

EDIT: Also, more importantly, I did not get the game in 2012 because there was an issue for a couple years about player progression and high end FA being left in the FA pool because of it. Was that ever fixed in a patch or were there simply workarounds used to avoid it?

You're interjecting your opinion, but must've missed the way he ragged on every post I made in reference to resource allocation.

I'm usually pretty even keeled but occasionally counter when people make ignorant remarks.

I think some people get too easily offended by people being critical of the (fine) work put forth by SCEA, but lets face it it is due to the criticism that MLB The Show is the game that it is.

Now I've been very critical of the fact sheet, especially with its RTTS components. I hope that as March approaches we find out that the items they put here end up only being a glimpse into the game. That being said I'm hoping that no trade clauses, as well as mid year contract extensions are at least on a "to-do" list somewhere for The Show, because its been something many people on the O'S forums have been calling for for a while.

Lol your original comment was you complaining about how you thought franchise mode was going to be "more or less the same" which is simply not true. I questioned whether you actually read the fact sheet because if you did, you would see that there are numerous additions and upgrades for next year's game. I'm going to repost all of my posts directed towards you, please point out the one where I "ragged" on you or attacked your intellect, work ethic, or personality, like you did to me...

Btw, me saying you're "that guy" was in reference to you bringing up the exact same topic in one of the other threads...

I was referring more to the fact that you said franchise would be more or less the same, the post right above mine sums it up pretty well:



Add in the realignment, new CBA, etc. etc. and Franchise will be leaps and bounds improved over last year...

Admittedly I don't really invest much time into RTTS so I don't really care what goes on in there, but to say franchise will be the same is flat out wrong.

Marketing and game development have separate budgets...

Ah, you're that guy... If they have two separate budgets, why would they both be drawing from a collective fund? The money given for marketing has nothing to do with the amount of money given for R&D, that's why they are separate... Its just like when people were griping about 2K's $1 million dollar thing and how that should be spent on making the game better... Even if 2K axed the contest that money still wouldn't go to game development.

I posted this before, but going to ask again.

I'm pretty sure this issue lingered into last years game, but has the player progression problem that creates a highly talented FA pool after a few years been resolved?
