I'm currently in the World Series in my Show '12 season. I've played every single game, didn't sim anything so I'd say I have a pretty good feel for the game at this stage. I've been reading up on the Show '13 and I really haven't heard anything about late game AI. I'm wondering if anything has changed in regards to the rallies from both user and CPU when either gets down big. I know the developers have stated numerous times that the game cannot differentiate between user and CPU teams and I can agree with that 100% because the rallies happen on both sides. Now, I don't mind the occasional 5-run rally to tie a game, but baseball is not known as a game of runs (like basketball) and I just feel like the game has too many instances where you'll go back and forth scoring and it really takes away some of the immersion for me. Has anyone heard anything about this for '13? Has it been acknowledged at all? Will these back and forth scoring battles be toned down a bit?

My personal opinion about the issue is that the confidence system might need a bit more tweaking..... but it's also how the pitchers are handled in late innings (both by CPU and user), which presumably has been improved. We'll see how things look.
From the stats tracking I usually do with the game, I'm pretty sure the dev team keeps tweaking A.I. every year. Not sure the specific aspect of the game has been worked on, but you really need to play quite a bit to see if it has been changed significantly or not. -

Have you tried adjusting sliders ? I used to pitch, so I think I have an idea of what you're talkin' about, but for the past month or so, I just sim the pitching part of my games due to time and stress factors.
However, adjusting the sliders a little did even things out for me.Comment

Slider tweaking does help some but something we should not have to do. The fact that for some reason cpu jus goes crazy in the 7th n 8 th innings almost every game he will foul pitchs off like crazy till he gets one he knows is coming n u can bring in guys with 102 mph heater nasty slider n sinker combo n cpu still tees off on relief pitching like no ones business n actually I got to where I had too turn cpu contact down to combat this n please don't tell me learn how to pitch or bat cause ive owned every show game n the first 5 innings is so different then the 6 th inning on true in real life as well but when u got shutdown relieve pitchers it should not be happening as much as it does.Comment

You just said it though. It doesn't happen every game. If it was hard coded into the game, wouldn't it happen every time ?

Well the cpu fouls pitchs off till he gets one he knows he can hit every game in those innings sometimes u can control the damage most the time u cant so im not saying its hardcoded but something is def. up in those innings~~~Comment

Who is out to get me the cpu ? I know I have several issues with the Show but I do buy the game every year n will say the developers of the game are top notch in the industry take more feedback then any other game I know of .Baseball is my passion n I jus want a game that is fun n is closes to the real thing as possible .Comment

Sorry, but this doesn't happen to everyone. I'm sure I have played 200+ games on this year's version, and I have probably averaged near that each year since '09. I could produce box scores a-plenty that show no sign of this happening.Comment
