One thing to remember is that the Texas Rangers still owned the identity of the Washington Senators when the Expos moved to Washington. It wasn't until hicks was being pushed out that the team sold the old history back to the Nationals. That could be a big reason why there is a split.

Good point. Has anyone actually ever see the Nats wearing Senators jerseys in real life?

Huh? How does that support your argument? In the video, which is taken from gameplay of MLB 09 The Show, the Washington Nationals are wearing Montreal Expos uniforms, about four years after the Nats had already relocated to DC.

And you're saying The Show isn't allowed to use an Expos throwback for the Nats, but there it is... so my question is, how was Sony able to put the Expos into The Show 09 if the team was already playing in Washington DC?

I said if you play MLB12 they only have the throwbacks of the city not the Franchise.

Ah, you are correct and I apologize. When you brought up the throwbacks being of the city, you didn't specify it being in MLB 12 so I thought you were continuing what BronxBombers was trying to say. Sorry

Nonetheless, can BronxBombers or anyone else somehow figure out why the Expos jerseys were being used in 09 and not anymore? Just seems strange that its suddenly vanished.

I think this was true in MLB11 also. I remember posting a complaint about SEA and not MIL using the Pilots.

Not only will you not be happy with the Hank Aaron Braves uniforms have the wrong batting helmet, but they have the wrong color socks as well. Thankfully SCEA also added the Dale Murphy/Rick Camp TBS era Braves uniforms.

SCEA also didn't add any new throwbacks for the Kansas City Royals. I personally would have loved to seen the 1985 George Brett era uniforms make it in.

Why did SCEA even bother to add the Seattle Pilots? They should have added the 1989 Ken Griffery Jr. rookie year uniforms instead.

I'm glad to finally see the Boys of Zimmer Cubs uniforms make it in. the ones Sandberg, Dawson, Grace, Dunston, and a rookie named Joe Girardi wore.



Plus from childhood, the 1994-1999 Rangers era uniforms have made it in.

I'm no White Sox fan but I'm p*ssed that SCEA didn't put the 1982-1986 White Sox Uniforms in. I'd rather have those in instead of the 1972-1992 California Angels uniforms (which also didn't make it in either).

Overall I'm pretty pleased with the selection of new throwbacks but some teams like the 1976 Indians & 1978 Pirates had more than one set so hopefully we won't be disappointed.

I still can't believe the Cubs traded away Palmeiro but that's a whole other topic. I'm just glad the 80's era Cubs/Braves/Padres/Orioles uniforms made it in.

I'm willing to bet that this if wrong wasn't done on purpose. Those guys in San Diego seem to really care about OS and I keep hearing about a style guide so I'm guessing it's that.
