lol........someone sent me a message that I am way to positive and not being objective.

So....as I have stated numerous times before in previous editions of The Show, franchise STATS are still lacking in my opinion. Starting with OSD's, gamelog, boxscore and ending with season/career carryover stats.

Yes, I have seen the occasional stuttering, but mostly smooth as silk.

I also posted a pic of an OSD gone wild.


with a work around to fix.

I guess I should stress that all my impressions involve a small sample size.

Noticed a bigger variance when facing the 1/2 starting pitcher vs 4/5.

After I have played a few games, pulled hits feel about right, esp. when you look at the batter pull tendecies.
I took me a while to notice how great the ballparks look because of all the other presentation, gameplay improvements, options etc. Really digging the ballparks.

Had a rain game at Wrigley. When the game first started, I thought it would be an overcast/cloudy game. Then an OSD came up along with the announcers talking about rain. The first 3 or 4 innings, I really just noticed the dirt getting slightly wet, then you could visually see the rain intensity pick up.
My 3b guy, had 2 errors the same inning.

Had a broken bat hit, where the ball was headed toward a fielder, then the backspin kicked in, and was able to record an infield hit.
Verlander looks like he wants that 200m contract..........very, very nasty.

I mentioned the new throwing option earlier. (using the no feedback option) I have had to reduce my difficulty throwing level, but really enjoying the added realism.

We don't have a little things thread yet. But there are some nice little additions to the game that add so much. One being the little dirt that kicks up when the ball hits it with some spin. Not always noticeable, mostly seen in replays but it is nice to see.

got my vita copy in yesterday...havent had much time with it but initial impressions, game plays amazing, graphics/lighting look improved over last year on the vita, hitting does seem a little easier out of the box on all star but there is 2 more levels of difficulty after that so im not worried about it

Anyways, I know SCEA is based in SD but its still really cool to see the double decker bullpen and the new fences in SD already in the game. Last time i was at Petco, about 3 weeks ago or so, they still haven't been completed at that time.

In my own impressions I failed to mention the weather OSD. it is really cool!!!

I hope people who are new to the show this year will be able to pick up hitting quickly, because as a returning gamer, I'm struggling with the slower pitch speed.

Brett Anderson just shut me down when I was the Blue Jays. I got a couple of walks here and there, even a bloop single, but nothing more.

The wild pitch is definitely a thing this year, after it being nearly non-existent last year.

I'm loving everything about this game so far, even the soundtrack is awesome. I'm on a real show high right about now.

On both Vita and PS3 I'm swinging early on everything.. The timing window is feeling a bit unnatural so far- I hope I get used to it. I wish they could have just made these improvements while keeping Guess Pitch and pitch speed the same.. But oh well.
On the other hand, I'm simply dominating in pitching.. The CPU actually strikes out too often now (crazy I know)... Hopefully I can fix this with tweaking the sliders, but as it is- all my games are super low scoring / low hitting.

Something else that just caught my eye in the details department. Had Nick Markakis on 1st and Adam Jones at the plate in a 2-1 count. I put the hit and run on, and Markakis nearly falls on his face braking for first! Can't remember if that was in 12 or not. But this was my first time seeing it.

I dropped down to Veteran just to get my timing down & a better feel for everything. Not really raking yet. Also trying to find a preset camera that best replicates the custom one I finally settled on last year.

Slider can increase or decrease pitch speed.
