Re: MLB 13 The Show Q & A Thread
This is my first year with a brand new release of The Show. I bought it the day it came out. I have been playing exhibition games mostly waiting for the final roster to come out. I have also spent a bunch of time at here.
I would like to start a franchise and I'm looking for the ultimate experience. From what I have read, I'm thinking I should use the OSFM rosters when available. I may also use the sounds from DJ Will when available. Does this seem like the best approach?
Thanks,

Yes I think that would be the best option. They have by far the best rosters and they spend a ton of time on them. This is my first year with a brand new release of The Show. Re: MLB 13 The Show Q & A Thread
Hey guys thanks to RazorFang i decided i am going to do a poll on which team i should use for franchise mode once these rosters come out. I have narrowed it down to 6 teams thought it would be a good idea to let you guys choose for me. The poll is in the link below

Re: MLB 13 The Show Q & A Thread
I have some rookie questions. I had MLB 12 and I would steal bases by hitting the left trigger but now it doesn't work what is going on in 13? How do I change this back to last years control?Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show Q & A Thread
It does...you have to hit it after the pitcher sets I believe.
A couple of guys were discussing this.

Re: MLB 13 The Show Q & A Thread
Would be real nice if there were some defining documentation on how to steal with various options, such as default, classic, and auto. I did read what is there and nothing about waiting for a pitcher to get set, not in game documentation.Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show Q & A Thread
I don't think it has anything to do with when you press L2 to steal. I've pressed before the pitcher was in the set position (before pitches are grayed out) and my runner will steal. What I have noticed is that if I hold L2 down for too long, that the runner does not always steal. I don't have an answer for why that happens.
I understand some people have had to double tap the L2 button (and some others have had to double tap L1 to lead off as well). So I would suggest just doing a quick press of L2 and if that doesn't work, going to the quick double-press method.Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show Q & A Thread
The problem is not knowing beforehand if the runner will steal. For example, I press L2 until it vibrates and immediately let go and sometimes the runner will steal, but sometimes not. This is with auto base running set on default and one runner on base. I believe someone else was encountering the same problem, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. With just one runner on base, pressing L2 until it vibrates should make the runner steal. I don't have a problem with leading off, L1 works fine.I don't think it has anything to do with when you press L2 to steal. I haven't tried it since the new patch was installed, but there wasn't any listing of that being addressed. I will try it again today or tomorrow. However, this is something that needs to be checked more than say 3 times.
The other troublesome thing is rookies not having that R for rookie, Profar for example. What that means is ROY will be meaningless because it will not include rookies who had some MLB time last year. Shelby Miller, Dylan Bundy, Mike Olt, and Profar to name a few do not have that R for rookie.Comment
