What is the rule on players being sent down during ST or just prior to the season starting ?
If i set my 25/40 man squad before starting a franchise will it keep it how i set it when the season starts ?
Okay...I'll have to check simming ST...I never do that....I usually play the games until the last day and then choose "end spring training"
-Players on the 40 man not making the MLB roster must use an option if sent down in ST
-Yes...it will stay to the 25 man roster you set. If you send 15 players down on that last day of ST....rosters/lineups/rotations stay intact(you're not "making" the CPU make a decision for you.

Still get the same result simming or ending ST, 40-man YES, ML Options 3, OPT Used YES.

On the rangers the bottom 10 or so players have 3 options left after being sent down.
-Players on the 40 man not making the MLB roster must use an option if sent down in ST
Ok thanks, i will just pick my 25 at the end of ST, just means cpu teams get extra ML options.

edit: ok, in the players card it is showing a option being used, just on the manage roster screen it is unchanged (maybe gets adjusted at the end of the season).
All Good.

Ahhh...yes on the manage roster screen it stays until the following season...as you don't really completely use that option until the following ST is complete.
I look on the card.

Ha...two guys looking in totally different places getting different views on the same thing!

Yeah got to remember to use the player cards more with contract stuff(rule 5 eligibility ect.)

A J Pierzynski fractured his hand in ST and is out for 2 months and is on the DL so isn't on the 40 man squad. I might want to bring a player onto the 40 man squad as back up.

What happens when A J comes back ? can i just move that player back down with no problems or will he have to go thru waivers or something. Was reading some wiki's but didn't have info on what happens to the player going back to the minors.

May just sim ahead and see what happens then reload my save.

What is the exact role of ignore budget?

I turn it off and yet I still have a budget, the opposite of the term "ignore" IMHO.

Has anyone else seen the yellow lines on the infield during some plays?

Maybe it just shows what your budget would be if it were enabled?

I wish this was the case, but the budget is there and doing a great job restricting me lol.

I guess maybe you can just trade over? I don't know but it's not letting me signing any free agents...

Then that must be a bug. Ignore budgets should mean there is no budget enforced. We need some feedback on this from others using Ignore Budgets. I haven't started a franchise yet, waiting for the rookie fix. Maybe I'll give it a test run to see what happens, meanwhile, perhaps you could start a thread with this question and find out what others who Ignore Budgets have to say.

It isn't letting me start a thread. Not sure why though. I did the email confirmation.

Have any clue?
