    Thanks,
Create two seperate profiles with the settings you want for each mode.

Once you begin a Franchise, select your team(s) and attach the profile you want to use for your Franchise there.

Enter Franchise mode and save it. From then on, that profile will be attached to that file.

I have not played RTTS yet, but I assume you get a similar prompt before beginning about which profile you'd like to use.

Once these files are saved, the profiles will stay attached.

      Thanks,
I don't think there's a way to switch profiles over in RTTS automatically... after loading an RTTS file, you need to go in on the gameplay setting and change manually.

This is a super late response, but if you're playing on a SDTV go to your display settings in the XMB and see if you have the option to enable 16:9. After doing this I am able to see potential/overall on the player card as well as the depth chart in the roster management screen.

          Since this is the Q & A Thread, I have a Q that needs an A!

Have you ever played this game in HD? If not, your head will explode when you do.

            Yes, I have a 42" Bravia but I can't stand the lag.

It seems that even a casual offline Franchise player would reach 30 eventually. I'm at a 28 now and it's only April.

I wonder if it was intended to work this way?
Like the aspects of begginer mode maybe ??
I play MLB exclusively with my cousin. Usually looking for info on Franchises. We played minor league baseball as 9-10 YOs on the Zephyrs.

                  Yes...it's in the options menu(gameplay I believe)....
It will always auto save on beginning a new franchise...but you can shut off the auto save that will occur following that initial save.

Has anyone offered a player arbitration yet still had them sign an offered contract that is worth more?

                        Re: MLB 13 The Show Q & A Thread

I thought I'd run this this potentially more knowledgeable people here... regarding player substitution rules.

When you bring in a relief pitcher, the rule book states that, before he can be removed from the game, he must pitch at least until the batter he's facing (or the substitute) is put out or reaches 1st base, OR until the offensive team is put out.

I'm interpreting this to mean that the relief pitcher does not have to pitch at all, if he's brought in and the inning ends with a pickoff before he throws his first pitch, and then the next inning he is pinch hit.... That was exactly the situation I had in a recent game.

I brought in a lefty to face a lefty with two outs in the bottom 8th, thinking to replace him with a closer the next inning. The reliever was due up first in the top of 9th, so I was going to pinch hit. But when the 8th inning ended with a pitchoff before the reliever threw the first pitch, I was prevented from pinch hitting in the top 9th. The game told me that the pitcher must pitch to at least one batter before being replaced.

I think the game is not following the rule book correctly here, is it?

I play on a 46" Brava using game mode, no lag issue at all. Dumb question but have you tried that setting?

From everything I know about baseball rules, this is a bug. You should have been allowed to pinch hit in the pitcher's spot in the next half inning.

My 42" Bravia definitely lags. This year, it's not as much of an issue because of the new timing window adjustment.... the timing awfully late last year translates now to early.

yes....you absolutely should have been able to pinch hit for him.
Ending the inning regardless of determination makes him eligible to be removed from the game.
