Anyone else noticing in Franchise that a lot/most teams are stacking up to 15 pitchers and carrying only 1 bench player??

I thought I read someone else mention this but now I can't find it, and I just noticed this today. It's terrible.

I don't remember ever seeing this in the past, is it triggered by something in 30 team control or? All (29) teams' roster moves are set to AUTO...

What he says is, "This has been yeoman's work out of the bullpen"

Yeoman refers to a free man owning his own farm, especially from the Elizabethan era to the 17th century. Work requiring a great deal of effort or labour, such as would be done by a yeoman farmer, came to be described as yeoman's work.

That is what he is referencing.

Just a observation....that seems to be a fantasy draft.

But I do believe that the CPU values pitching(especially RP too much)
I haven't seen it in straight franchise.(yet...not to say it won't be seen)

Yeah you'll have to blame the baseball gods for that, lol. Although there is a stat for what he did, it's tracked as a Quality Start (QS) - albeit a much less glamorous stat. Also, your pitcher who gave up the lead was also credited with a BS (blown save) for his part in it...

I love the QS stat. It's what decides my decisions for signing FA or calling up prospects. Wins for a pitcher is like RBIs for a hitter, sure you have to be good to rack them up but they are way to team sensitive to determine where my millions will go.

Yep, Fantasy Draft. And yeah, it stocks up on Relief Pitchers, filling up as many as possible on some teams. I know there are only 10 slots for RPs in the Rotation, but when I was going through team rosters, a lot of teams were carrying as many as 12 RPs with 5 Starters...

Maybe it's connected?? Maybe it overvalues RPs throughout the game because their is some 'bug' causing teams to carry more than 7 or 8 RPs?? (which is pretty standard)

Why is the option to to go to the Bullpen (always?) grayed out during mound visits?

I don't know.
They changed it this year...I asked at CD...but they never fixed it.
Maybe something to do with being able to see the opponent's bullpen now as well?...

Do they not have real brand name shoes in this game? Almost every players shoes look like they come from Payless, so generic.

are there really as many bugs in the game as there seem to be reading the forum here? like everyday there are new threads about some new glitches that just happened to someone.

I have seen people's pictures and videos of their franchise and I see that on theirs that when they are on the schedule it shows the standings on the right of the screen. How are you able to do that? I have seen this before but never knew how to do it.

PS3 display setting to 16:9 or play on an HD tv.

IMO it's a fantastic game. Certainly there are some issues that I hope will be fixed in the first patch, but for the majority of the players (not everyone), it is playing quite well already. Realize that in this type of forum most of the people posting are those that are trying to bring to light problems they are having so that the developers will be aware of them and hopefully resolve the issues.

While some people here report the good, which there is a lot of(!), most people come here to ask questions and report what they view is a problem (and certainly sometimes are in fact real). But again, these forums are just naturally biased towards seemingly negative problems. Perhaps the happy people are too busy enjoying the game. The ones experiencing a really bad stuttering problem (that I thankfully am not) are the ones that unfortunately are not able to fully appreciate the beauty of this game yet. Hopefully that will be resolved shortly.
