Mine was a small commentary moment that I don't remember last year. I was my Orioles and Jason Hammel was pitching. One of my pulse pitches sailed and almost hit the batter. I think it was Lyons who said, "Whoa, Please Hammel Don't Hurt 'em!" I admit, I laughed.

Had the game on idle, and heard the PA annoucer say, "Fans be sure to join us on Friday when we will be having BJ Upton bobble head night."Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show: The Little Things Thread
At Kauffman Stadium, whenever a Royals player is up, the scoreboard has the player's picture/profile next to One KC Place and the actual skyline of Kansas City.
Thought that was a nice touch though I'm not sure anybody outside of KC would even pick up on it.Last edited by AJTheHater; 03-25-2013, 11:04 AM.Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show: The Little Things Thread
Whenever I play at Yankee Stadium, I notice the train running behind the stadium. I like the way they have the Bob Sheppard intro for Derek Jeter(it was in last year's game, I know). After a game at Nationals Park, they tell you what Metro stops on the Green line will get you where you have to go(you have to be from DC or the DC area to understand that or even notice)Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show: The Little Things Thread
I love starting a game and then just setting down the controller and letting it go into that mode where the camera pans to players, crowd etc. and you see and hear all kinds of neat things.
I also like how they cater the after game announcer to events in the city. For example, the PA announcer stated to the crowd about various parking lots and such that were real life lots in Pittsburgh, etc.
I also heard the famous Greg Brown "Cannon Ball Coming" homerun call from Matt Vasgersian after the inning was overComment

I went to the WBC final at AT&T Park and it was still advertising MLB 12. Wonder if it has been replaced by 13 by now that the MLB season is starting...Attached FilesComment

Re: MLB 13 The Show: The Little Things Thread
Two little things in one game.
Hunter Pence hit a check swing grounder down the 1st base line to Adrian Gonzalez... Adrian picks it up, stands in the basepath, and waits to tag Pence, who side steps the tag and is called safe at 1st!
Another later at-bat I saw a player swing and let go of the bat which promptly flew into the stands and got the commentators attention. Love that stuff!Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show: The Little Things Thread
Long time The Show veteran, and I've never seen this. Let me paint the picture.
MIA vs. ARI (me). Ricky Nolasco of the Marlins is all over the place, and has just hit his 3rd(!)batter. Next inning, I'm pitching with Ian Kennedy and I unintentionally (I swear!) hit Giancarlo Stanton. I'm immediately thrown out of the game!
Now, this would be a little *out there* if this happened in real life (although I've seen umps make over zealous calls in these situations), but I thought AI mindset was kind of cool, where it was assumed there was some sort of retaliation taking place by me hitting their best player.
Pretty cool, and I've never seen this in any baseball game.Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show: The Little Things Thread
Sorry if this was already mentioned or is old but was just playing the Indians Toronto game when I hit a homerun with the Indians.
The commentator...... "Oyo Como Va, that's a homerun for Carlos Santana!"
Made me laugh.Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show: The Little Things Thread
Playing against the ChiSox and Gordon Beckham grounds into a double play, and the annnouncers say:
"Give a red card to Beckham, that's a double play."
I thought that was really cool given that he's not that noteworthy of a player.Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show: The Little Things Thread
I was the Padres playing against the Pirates. Chase Headley was up to bat and hit a deep fly ball to dead center. Andrew McCutchen jumps to make the catch at the wall and it goes off his glove and over the wall. I had to view the replay because I had never seen this in the show and sure enough if he does not jump to make the grab it would have stayed in the park.
It was no Jose Canseco moment but it was still very cool.Comment
