One big thing for me this year is all the personalized home run swings, i love that, dont know why, seems minor but they really added a lot this year and im loving it. Has anyone seen any personal celebrations, like hanley doing the i see you or pagan doing the salute on base? I remember a post a while back from someone who worked for scea asking what celebrations we wanted to see in

Re: MLB 13 The Show: The Little Things Thread
Was playing as the Red Sox vs Yankees in season opener. It had been raining all game, Teixeira came up in the 8th, I heard the announcer say something about this is the hardest it's rained all day. I threw an off speed pitch, Teixeira, gave the "oops" crazy looking animation when they guess wrong on an off-speed pitch, he then kinda of ducked his head into his shoulders, in a cringe, and I noticed that the bat had slipped out of his hands and was helicoptering towards the stands!! I think my wife thought I was having a breakdown I was laughing so hard. That was awesome detail to have in the game, and his body expression was perfect for the situation. Just that one little thing made the game for me, and that was only my 3rd game into it or so. Can't wait to see some other great stuff.Last edited by BadKarma; 03-10-2013, 04:54 AM.PSN- Foreva_Old_Skool

PS Vita: (These may have been in last year but new to me.)
-Announcer says "Dare I say, a gorgeous throw by Bourjos!" When he threw me out at the plate.
-The AI pitcher threw me a waste pitch before he decided to walk me to face the next batter.
-Yankee stadium during playoff game started with dark skies like it would in real life."The older I get, the faster I was!"

Ah yes, you're referring to the Broderick tower in downtown Detroit:
The image is a building mural and its not sharks but humpback whales. Not sure if the game depicts whales or sharks though, can't remember. Either way the mural has been gone since 2006 and is now a large billboard. I assume SCEA found the mural to be more aesthetically pleasing than a billboard. I'm glad they kept it!I like that the game mural is sharks instead of the whales. ...Also, the new scoreboard installed last year at Comerica looks to be spot-on this year.

Re: MLB 13 The Show: The Little Things Thread
I apologize if this has been in previous versions of The Show, but I did an RTTS Pitcher in MLB 12 and never saw this... They showed video of me signing autographs before the game - I was going to make my MLB debut with Cleveland, and so they did a prospect spotlight on me as part of the pregame - I just thought it was a really nice touch to throw in the autograph thing, just to add to the realism. Hopefully they'll show that again when I'm more of a "star" and people would actually want my autograph, as opposed to some no-name rookie lol.Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show: The Little Things Thread
I'm not quite sure this counts as a "little thing," but Adam LaRoche had four home runs in the same game that Stephen Strasburg threw a no hitter.
(Oh, and the error wasn't what kept Strasburg from throwing a perfect game. He also walked a batter.)Miami Dolphins | Washington Nationals | Baltimore OriolesComment

Much easier this year than last year with animated previews. Last year you had to go in game and hit a no doubter to see the celebration.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

After I got called out, I had my first of that. I smacked one in between first and second for a single. Just after, they cut scene come up with Matt talking about how it was my first hit. As he was mentioning it, it showed a player running out to grab the ball, and then throwing it to another player to get into the dugout.

Re: MLB 13 The Show: The Little Things Thread
I'm batting as the Orioles against the Rays, but letting the CPU handle the base running. I pull an outside pitch with Brian Roberts weakly toward first base. I think 'darn'. Loney is waiting to tag him. As he approaches Roberts side steps him! He missed the tag! Safe at first.
Awesome. I did not see that animation last year.Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show: The Little Things Thread
The sliding animation when stealing second head first is pretty amazing. Playing as the rays in my franchise, it's an automatic steal when fuld gets on base. There's a moment when the runner hits the ground and dirt kicks up and the runner slows down drastically as the slide ends.
I am AMAZED at this, as well as other things mentioned in this thread. Amazing Job with this game.NFL - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
MLB - Tampa Bay Rays
NCAA - USF Bulls
NBA - Los Angles LakersComment
