Re: MLB 13 The Show: The Little Things Thread
Had a broken bat bouncer to the right side of the mound. The pitcher started going for it but hesitated as the bat flew past him. That heasitation allowed the batter to just beat the throw. I may have imagined it but it looked like he held up for the bat... Very cool."Life is like baseball, it's the number of times you arrive home safely that counts"Comment

In RTTS: The Third. Person. Home Run. Trot!
Another thing(s) that are really great are the on-field sounds... from foul tips, to footsteps to slides to player chatter. The sound of the pitch hitting the glove when using a knuckle-baller is really good too.
Lastly, I played against Josh Johnson in my fantasy season, and he kept jamming my batters. He managed to break 3 of my bats.
There's tons of new stuff on the animation front too.Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show: The Little Things Thread
I have never seen this before so here goes : Last night I am batting ( Cardinals RTTS ) against the Giants at ATT Park, I hate the Giants to many pitchers that throw sinkers , anyway I get a sinker down and in it looks like a hittable ball to me but no I swing and foul it off my ankle. Now what was cool about this is that after the swing and hitting my ankle I went down in the batters box like a ton of bricks, they showed me in slo-mo as I am in obvious pain, a very cool animation just like in real life. I did manage to get back up dust myself off and proceed to strike outLast edited by BSUFAN; 03-12-2013, 01:26 PM.When you come to a fork in the road, take it..... Yogi Berra

Re: MLB 13 The Show: The Little Things Thread
During my first game I was the Blue Jays because I wanted to try and hit a HR with Bautista. In the first inning the CPU hit a bloop single to right and Bautista scooped it up and I tried to throw out the runner at 1st.
I didn't realize the throwing controls had changed and I held onto the throwing button too long. Bautista made a crazy power throw to first immediately went to the ground in pain. The announcers were talking about how he was taken out of the game as he was being helped off the field.Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show: The Little Things Thread
Not sure if anyone mentioned it yet, but the pitch selection for the default and updated roster this year is very good. After last years pitch selection being pretty off, to see pitchers with their correct pitches without having to edit it great. Thank you!Comment

I know it's just a little thing, but I miss the Palm BallComment

Re: MLB 13 The Show: The Little Things Thread
I never saw this in any game before. I play on High camera in the field this probably would not have happened otherwise. Batter rakes a shot into the right field corner I thought my fielder had the ball so I am banging on the cutoff button but no throw. Obviously my fielder doesn't have the ball but I can't see that. Out of nowhere the centerfielder comes over to field the ball. Quite cool.Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show: The Little Things Thread
So last night I did something I haven't done in a long time... I stopped pressing X after every pitch. I decided to go an entire game without skipping a single cut-scene.
It was the most relaxing game I've had in forever. It also helped me notice some pretty cool things. Like the moment Matty V said there was some lunatic on the field and Major League Baseball wouldn't let them show the guy. I thought that was cool.
It also helped me relax at the plate, which lead to 4 walks, the most I've ever had in a single game.
I would certainly recommend it to anyone that hasn't done it before.Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show: The Little Things Thread
I hit a screamer straight up the middle. It hit off the pitcher and went straight up in the air. The 3rd baseman goes in a few steps to catch the pop out. They called it an out. Not really sure about the rules if it hits off a pitcher but nonetheless I thought that was pretty cool and have never seen it before.Comment

I was playing a random game and the play stops.
Matty V says, "we'll have to pause play real quick as a dimwit had jumped onto the field. Now security has got him and he will spend the rest of the night in prison."
I have never heard this before but I thought it was hilarious.

Re: MLB 13 The Show: The Little Things Thread
I like how AI uses intentional walk when a pitcher goes behind (1-0 count) late with men on in a close game.
... could be happening a bit too often but I don't remember seeing this in the past, so it's a nice addition.Comment
