For what it's worth, the stuttering that occurs during batter walk-ups is gone if you turn off batter walk-ups all together in the presentation settings. I know it's not ideal, because I love the realism, but it's a temporary fix until SCEA can fix it. I have already submitted a bug report.

I'm getting it pretty bad with the digital version. PS3 HD has plenty of space, and is one of the 160 slims from two years ago. Haven't tried playing without a PSN connection yet, but damn does it ever make the game unplayable. Hopefully it'll get resolved soon. Haven't ever had this issue before, and have bene playing since '08.

Music is stuttering pretty bad in the menus. Played a HR derby online and had no issues. Kind of bummed :|

I'd say I see about 4 pitch stutters a game after only a few games played. Menus are somewhat slow as well at times. Get this fixed please

Yes but for someone that likes playing in online leagues..kind of not an option.

Never noticed it in 12, never had this problem.

I've played 3 games so far today and seen it in 1 of my games albeit very frustrating when it happens.

I don't know what it is, but I went from awful to smooth as silk in the matter of hours.

Game is playing like a dream now, and is was a nightmare earlier.

Yeah seems totally random. I have tried a bunch of things.

To answer the question of the guy above. Turn off your Internet connection as well as sign out of Psn. Go to network settings and click disable Internet

Just played an exhibition game and had no stuttering. The worst of the stuttering is DEFINITELY in the menus for me at least. The songs stutter about every 25-30 seconds. Maybe I'll try disabling the default songs and putting a custom soundtrack in.

I've played a few games already, but have not noticed any stuttering when pitching. However, I have had my digital copy freeze once on me already, and the transition between batters does lag a little bit.

Just a follow up to your question regarding how the digital download copy performs.

I dont know why people continue to keep thinking is there when pitching. The stuttering for those that claim they have a copy that does not happen at all. It is when the CPU pitcher releases the ball when YOU are hitting. There is a slight stutter at the release of the pitch that throws of your timing completely and can ruin a key at bat or game.

It does not happen when YOU are pitching.

No problems here.. Silky smooth but I don't play online. Occasional stutter with replays. Same as last year.

I have the stutter too. First game in Boston. Tigers vs redsox. Almost every pit h the game stops right when the pitcher is about to release the ball first batter I didn't even swing cus of this. Since then it's a bit better but I still notice it.

It's really bad for me. I disabled my internet connection and the media connection, but I'm not seeing an improvement. The menu music skips, it really lags when scrolling through teams, and worst of all, it happens every pitch when I'm batting. Not an exaggeration, every pitch. I've never had this issue with previous versions of the game.
