Honestly, I am astonished we haven't heard anything about this from Russell yet, that's the level of communication they (the developers/team) have with this community. I have full confidence we will hear from them about this issue sooner or later, and that if it can be fixed, it will be.You do what you want in your association, don't let others ruin the fun. An even bigger problem than those guys getting the stutter is that this is so all over the place random.
Some guys say it's so bad it's unplayable.
Some guys get it infrequently.
Some guys don't get it at all.
(to me this absolutely denotes that it IS NOT something within the game itself...how could it be?...with this many different outcomes... If it was absolutely a game only problem...we'd ALL have the same problem)
...and in this I think finding a solution is going to be tough.

What team
What pitcher
What stadium
What view
What...ever you can give to pinpoint a common theme in the guys with problems(I realize that it seems to be "random")
I would say unless you guys with the stutter start getting more specific....it's going to increase the amount of time to figure out the problem and solution.
There is a new bug reporting scheme for SCEA as well.

I feel you Knight on this, but something has to be done/addressed because for some its really bad. For me it's 0-2 times a game and personally I'm cool with it but I really feel bad for those that it happens all game long to.
If it can be fixed then I'm sure/confident that it will but what if it can't?
Could it be some setting that our system is on that is triggering it?

Thankfully im not seeing it that often. Some games I don't see it at all other games I might see it 3 or 4 times. Lots of choppyness though during batter walkups. This is gonna be a hard one to fix, since there doesnt seem to be any consistancy to it.Comment

I know....I really do feel terrible for the guys who are getting it both consistently and badly. It's got to be extremely frustrating.
Like I and you guys said though ...it could be a tough one to pinpoint.
I hope they figure it out(and yes....it could be something in the system....in which the system+this game is triggering it.

Some more question to you guys. As I see the thread is about stutter issues, but for me it's not only the pitching stutter.
I have the broadcast presentation set, so it's with batter walk up animations. If I press "X" during the walkup animation, the game freezes for 1-2 seconds almost every time. If I turn off walk up animations it seems to be better, but whenever I press "X" during a cutscene it seems to be sluggish. This of course does not breaks the game for me, because it's just presentation, but it's worth to mention.
The other stutter I get aside from the pitching stutter is, when I'm fielding a throw to 1st base. It's really a minor hickup, but I notice it. This isn't a gamebreaker either, but I notice it as well.Comment

I honestly have not seen any stuttering at all in all the games I have played ect and I have had the game since this past Thursday, I feel bad for those that have this problem. I have a fairly new superslim PS3, im pretty sure the issue is not the console. Its gotta be within the game. My first game was Dodgers-Reds it happened a couple times. 2nd game was Yankees-RedSox and it started happening and began to pick up. Havent played since. I downloaded the game and have had zero stuttering issues through 5-6 games. Matter of fact, this game is completely smooth and gives me an awesome gameplay experienceComment

We have alot of filler posts (mine included) of saying nothing is wrong, or everything is wrong or inbetween. Without the actual posting of exact information it would be very hard to fix. I would agree with Knight, if it was a "game" issue we would all see it regardless of PS3 model.
I haven't had the pitching stuttering issue. The cut-scenes i do see some stutter. I have a
PS3 slim, 160GB (the default HD for it)
the PSN version
i have media server off
i generally am not connected to the internet when i play
i use the catcher cam to hit

I have the PSN download version of the game and have played quite a few games. A lot of cut scenes and batter walkup animations are choppy, but the actual game play has been smooth as silk for me. I used to get 1 or 2 pitch stutters most games in 12, but this year, so far, has been way better. Obviously I'd like the cut scene stuff to be less choppy, but I can live with that with as awesome as the game play is.Comment
