great stuff Clemmie. I'm on the fence about rebuilding the database. Does it make a difference?

The last 3 days I fired the game up the intro froze for like 5 seconds, fire it up now and it's running flawless. Not sure what to make of it.

Have you changed anything? Just trying to see if I can avoid this problem when my copy arrives.

Now that you ask I did. I went into the display and changed a couple things but I wouldn't contribute that. I just think its totally random

Nah man just a generalized question. No need to take it personal dude. I would love a new god of war bundle PS3, because im getting GOW:A anyway, just that i have a slim that works flawless. No offense man, just curiousity.

Although I think your intentions are good with putting the ps3 in safe mode etc. it comes down to it being a bug in the game for whatever reason. Maybe on their machines when they are developing the game they don't see it that's why it's never been addressed.

I would agree with you except the fact not all of us are seeing it at all. I'm just pointing out that in the past NUMEROUS PS3 issues have been resolved by going safe mode, and restoring file system, and or database.

If it were a software bug we would ALL notice it.

Yeah man i been trial and error for years, LOL. No offense taken dude, none at all. There is nothing to lose just going into safe mode and restoring file system, seems to resolve alot of pS3 issues.

Also, not to be a broken record, the media server being enabled has been a known culprit.

Just had a K because of it. Pitcher in his windup at the point of release and it froze for a second. Kinda hate that I'm talking about it because now I'm really noticing hitches. This might have to be patched

Also "disable" the media server connection under network settings. Hope this helped man!
