Bud we understand and SCEA understand that this is a frustrating issue, they cannot give you any clues to why this happening if they don't know why. Game development (especially on the PS3) is not easy as many devs have noted in the past. You can keep bringing up that you paid $60, does not change the fact they did not see the issue in house and were not aware of it till it released. You sound pretty demanding in your previous post to be completely honest and I do agree with him that the entitlement is very wide spread. Put into perspective, you pay 60, SCEA spends thousands on development.

So all the money they make doesn't matter? I see what sticking up for somebody else gets me. I'm not mad nor demanding. I don't believe they didn't see this until the game came out. Nobody played a copy b4 it came over at SCEA, that's what you want me to believe? Ok I'm done, thank you and god bless.

Again it goes to ignorance of the dev process.

For example, I have the game, I have yet to see a stutter. It's not always happening for everyone. Some don't see it, some see it intermittently, some see it frequently. It's not out of the question they were not aware of the issues, as none of us really know what conditions are causing it.

No the money they make does matter, what I was saying is that your money doesn't change the fact they did not see the issue and had they seen it you would not have it.

Really? So that's why they had a pre-release patch that fixed 100+bugs.

Edit: Should also note I'm not in the habit of believing what any devs say as I primarily play on PC and they lie left and right about PC versions. xD

I've played near 40 games in my franchise since I got it a couple days early and haven't seen one stutter.

It's not like they have one piece of code that says "dostutter=TRUE" that they just edit out. I don't think you understand how complex the problem is, and the fact that it's not something that you can replicate on command makes it infinitely tougher to pinpoint and fix.

My post was closed so I'm forced to move it here.

I think all three of these things are connected. I have been hitting horribly on this years edition. Last years edition, I was a very good hitter but this year not so much so far. Everything is early or too early. I'm dead on with a lot of the pitches and clearly miss on them. That's not like me, I am not perfect but I'm no slouch with my stick. It's like I'm missing something but I can't put my finger on it. I'm starting to believe this is by design. So I played a game on the new beginner mode, which to me is a mode to get users ready for the new timing in the game and what do you know, every fastball was stuttering, then every curveball was stuttering. Something is very fishy about this, if you guys don't believe me play the new mode and see for yourself, I bet the stutter will be prominent. Also the hitting improves but I know this since the level is on beginner but how do you explain the same pitches not being hittable on upper levels. Like I said if you guys doubt me try it.

guess i'll throw my one two in as well. i got to play like 10 minutes, i had the same pitcher freeze animation when delivering the ball on the second strike...hope they can fix this if not, guess im out of 65, smh hope not.

Is the stuttering connected to freezing issues? I've tried to play 4 minor league games so far in my franchise and 3 of them have ended up freezing after stutters. every time it was during a cut scene flashing to the pitcher or batter after a pitch. My PS3 was brand new before I picked up 13. I downloaded this years version and I never had a freeze in any other version of the game I've had. Any help would be great.

I've played multiple games over the course of a few days, and it was always there. I put my new drive back in and am going to redownload and reinstall. Hopefully it helps.

So I did a new install of the game on the new HDD and I still have the stutter. At this point, I'm really considering putting the old HDD back in just to play, otherwise I think the issue will really screw up my timing when trying to hit. I find that I'm more concerned about whether or not the pitchers motion stutters instead of paying attention to the pitch/location...

haha, same here. It starts to play games with your mind when you're looking for the stutter because you know it will mess up your timing which is what hitting is all about. Once every few games is acceptable but a few of these stutters per game, or per inning is a game breaker. Waiting for a patch.

I have started playing with a RTTS Pitcher, so there is no pitch stutter

I never did, I agree it's an issue.

Happening once a game is too many times.

It just doesn't happen enough for me to call it a game killer or unsellable. And yes, calling it unsellable is laughable to me.

Put your copy up (not you Spence) on Ebay for $50 and see how quickly it sells.


The game to me is great in so many ways that I can live with this hiccup here and there.

I say that now, it hasn't happened to me at a crucial moment and I've pretty much just learned to take the pitch when it stutters (can't do it on changeups for some reason) that I've just learned to live with it.

Perfect? No. But still a pretty damn good game regardless.

But I've had games where it's happening 2 or 3 times in nearly every at-bat.
That's unplayable.

Saying that, it only seems to happen after I've played multiple games in a row.
If I play one and then shut it down for an hour or so, no problem.

Yea, I had a game yesterday in Safeco against Felix that was almost unplayable.

First game like that.

I just quit and restart and didn't have a problem.

It's annoying.
