i didnt watch the whole thing but from what I saw, all they mentioned was a framerate issue which has nothing to do with the pitch stutter. The pitch stutter can be up to a full second pause when the pitcher releases the ball, this is not the same as a framerate issue. Drops in framerate has always been a minor problem with the game, the ps3 is just not powerful enough to handle the graphics at a consistent rate.

Maybe I missed it, did they mention the pitch stutter?

Not sure if this is the correct location to place this, but I've been looking all around OS and over at TheShowNation but I can't seem to find anyone else who is having these same issues.

I'm having serious trouble with the audio during games. The PA, commentators, and crowd can not be heard nearly 95% of the time and when they do work, it sounds like they are repeating themselves or it just makes a very horrible static sound. This is happening in both normal franchise games and RTTS games. Also having freezing issues where it holds up gameplay for 5-15 seconds before fixing itself (not sure if that relates to the stuttering issue or not).

I'm also having trouble with exiting out of games. It takes an unusually long time to load back to the menu (10 GB is installed) and has the same freeze up thing that happens in-game, but usually lasts longer (15-30 seconds).

I'm really worried this might be because of my PS3 (less than 3 years old, slim). I've tried deleting and re-installing the game data, turning off music, using music only mode during games. Not sure if the patch has anything to do with it seeing it just started around last Friday or so after having the game since release day. Nothing has helped. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Is it possible you have a scratch or substance on you game disc? I had some problems with audio last year just because of a smudge on my disc.

I thought that as well. Disc is spotless. Like I said, I'm worried it's my PS3, possibly the blu-ray drive. But I haven't had any other problems with any other games I own for it. So idk.

The show has always suffered from poor framerate. This year it seems way worse.

The framerate and general hitching are not that big of deals to me though. I do agree that I am seeing a lot of weird hitching and general performance issues with the game this year that I don't remember being present last year. A lot of games don't perform that great and have framerate issues in spots. It shouldn't be acceptable, but has become so sadly in modern console games.

As long as the pitch stuttering is taken care of somehow, either by tweaking something on our end (the users) or by SDS figuring out what is causing it and patching, I will be perfectly happy with the game. The framerate issues don't seem to affect the gameplay, but the stuttering hinders the entire hitting system in the game.

Can't believe it myself, but deleting the patch actually helped cure everything. I feel pretty stupid in the process of it all, but am completely relieved that everything seems to be working again. Happy but still a little upset at the same time. But at least I can play the game without worry again.

Played a couple of games today and it is worse than ever now. Stuttering everywhere. The game looks great better than ever but it is unplayable for me. Back to 11 and 12 until they fix this.

Just saw on the Show Nation on the stutter bug the developer comment said this is not a DUP problem and they are investigating, lol I just don't know what DUP is or means.

Haven't noticed any stuttering but the audio occasionally skips.

as in duplicate the file descriptor? I don't know much about UNIX.

A bit weird the dev would put DUP in the comments, unless those are supposed to be for internal use. But I thought they were meant to provide info to users.

LOL this is funny

24 hours ago there was about 6 posts from the devs on ShowNation saying, that this bug repost is a DUPlicate post, please refer to bug #10000 instead. When they noticed their fault, they had written, that they know this was not a DUP(licate) bug post, and they are investigating. Shortly after this, they deleted the 6 posts saying its a DUPlicate, so now all you can see is their reaction to that
