Re: MLB 13 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Was on the blue jays and before getting called up to the show, got traded to the mariners
So mad, but started game one against strasburg and you can guess had 4 strikeouts
Next game went 2-4 though, so hoping I can stay up and have a great rookie year!Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
I'm getting seriously frustrated. This is my first year with MLB The Show because I only owned an Xbox up until December of last year.
I pick the Pirates to start off with cause that's my team. I dominate the AA's and I get traded to Oakland. I'm currently 14-0 with 258 K's and a 0.08 ERA. I'm playing on Rookie because I'm still getting used to the game. It's July in the first year, right after the all-star break and I still haven't been called up. I'm an 89 overall. Call me the heck up already Oakland!Comment

Was having a strong outing in my first season in Double-A as a 3B.... Then I dislocated my ankle. and missed the rest of the season. We won our division and lost in first round to Aeros. Really sucks to go down with such a bad injury so early in my career.

Re: MLB 13 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Finishing up my rookie season now for the Dodgers. I got called up early in the season directly from AA. My season stats as mostly a bench player are:
Dre Johnson - CF - 6'5 230lbs
AB: 124 H:41 HR: 6 RBI:26 AVG: .318
Im in the playoffs now and were in the NLCS and im
AB: 5 H: 4 HR: 2 RBI: 3
World series, game 4, were down in the series 2-1 to oakland, they pinch hit me in the bottom of the 10th and I blast a bomb to right field to hit a walkoff homer in the world series to tie up the series! So awesome, we went one to win the next 2 games to win the world series.
Overall good rookie season and look forward to a strong 2014 campain.Last edited by codyj123_321; 03-07-2013, 10:36 PM.Comment

If so...Hahahahahaha! That's like Babe Ruth.
This mode is a lot of fun. Still in AA in the Marlins system. My player is playing well, but my team is hot garbage (Jacksonville Suns)."Hard work beats talent, when talent isn't working hard.”Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
My first season as a RF in AA I led the league in doubles (36) and HR (19) dispite going on the 60 day DL with a broken hand. I batted around .370 on HoF level. I think I need to adjust the sliders for less strikes. Zero walks in 303 AB.
Just finished the offseaon and after signing a AAA started contract I find I'm on the MLB bench at the start of spring training (on the Indians).
My first AB in spring training I noticed my PCI was about the size of the baseball so I doubt I'll be staying in the majors long. On the plus side, I got a walk. So, the large number of strikes may be a AA thing.Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
created a power hitting 3b and i was drafted by the redsoxim currently in aa batting .520 with 5hr and 22rbi after 11 games(allstar). ill be bumping up to hof soon after i get some training points accumulated. they seem to rotate me between 3b ss and 2b even though ive been doing well so far.

Re: MLB 13 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
My guy is hitting .403 with 4 HR and 32 RBIs.
I'm a SS in the Dodgers farm system and so far I haven't even made it out of Double-AA.
Hopefully I get called up soon, but I understand. People are ahead of me. I started it out on Beginner (first Show game ever!) about 10 games in and getting a middle fast ball every pitch I bumped it up to Rookie. After about another 15 or so games, felt like it was too easy swinging at the first pitch so I bumped it up the Veteran but it feels weird.
This is my first game and about 5ish hours into playing I'm a veteran!? lol
Seems like the bump I keep doing is about perfect because I made the change to Rookie after batting about .340 and then Veteran about .370 and I'm about .400 so I'm thinking about moving it up again!
Although if I really should be in the Majors, shouldn't I be batting .400 in Double-AA?? hahha!Comment
