This might have already been asked, in fact I'm sure it has but has anyone made it to the majors by the team that drafted you? My hitter was drafted by the TB Rays and I was absolutely tearing up AA (350 11 HR, 48 RBI) and they traded me to the Pirates for Russell Martin. Which is fine, I wasn't really looking forward to playing in Tampa anyway (I hate their stadium), they also jerked me around a lot. Some games I'd bat 5th and then the next game I'd be batting 9th. The Pirates seem to like me better, they have put me in the cleanup spot and left me there.

The first time I played The Show, which was 2010, I spent the first season in AA hitting about .260 and made AAA a few months into the next season. Now that I've played 11, 12, and 13, and I know what I'm doing, I'll make AAA in May or June of my first season.

Re: MLB 13 The Show: Road to the Show Thread

So being a Jays fan, I hopped aboard the RA Dickey bandwagon and made myself a knuckleballer in my first Road to the Show.

I was pretty stoked to get drafted by the Yankees, seeing as they have quite the legacy. After lasting one season in Double A, I became the long reliever for the team, before working my way into the rotation midseason. By my third season, I'm the ace of the franchise, just behind Sabathia.

Now, I haven't had a good year since playing in the majors, but still, this team is awful. We're slowly getting worse, too. The first year I was in the majors, we went 80-82. Last year we went 73-89. So far, we're on a bit of a win streak to start the season, but we're ranked 24th in the league. All of the old guys retired except for A-Rod and Youkilous, whose talent levels is in the 50s, yet both made the roster and have one year on each of their contracts. Not that there are many better replacements in the system. I'm really hoping I get traded out of New York sooner rather than later.

After starting a CF with the Giants I was traded 17 games in to the O's. I finally made it to the majors after the O's(this team sucks) purchased my contract from their AA affiliate at the start of June; I would have preferred to be called up to AAA instead, but I'll take it.

For those with pitchers what delivery you use?

So I'm starting year two, and I was a September call up last year. If I play well in Spring Training, can I earn a spot in the majors, or is it irrelevant?

Yes you can. I made the MLB squad by doing well in ST

11 games in with the Naturals we are 2-9. Im batting .351 with 3HRs and 14 RBIs. Funny thing is though I either have a beast of a game hitting or I get no hits at all. Keeps making my average jump up and down. My guy is a little more of a power hitter than contact though. 6'4 225lbs CF If my batting average stays in the mid 300s ima up the difficulty. Currently playing on all star.

Josh Johnson, love the faster delivery, don't like to take the time to wait for my pitcher to throw the ball! A lot of guys I've seen like Vance Worley as well! Haven't tried it myself just sayin!

ha, I hate my rotation! (Boston) we had the #2 offense in the league somehow (not because of me), yet finished well below .500.

This year we have already given up leads of 11 and 9. we were winning 9-0 in the 9th, and gave up 12 runs in the 9th without getting a single out. It is very demoralizing playing baseball when you know no lead is ever safe, feels pointless and not very realistic.

is anyone else having an issue with their AI pitching, or did the red sox just get slammed ratings wise after last season's debacle? I mean, every player should get a significant ratings boost just by having Bobby "I invented the wrap" Valentine gone!

too much offense, not enough pitching in mt RTTS....
