Just keep using it...it uses player ratings realistically over user control. Manage your confidence bars, pitch what pitches your guy is confident throwing at the time. You have to really set batters up by changing speeds too.

Almost finished with the first season of my new RTTS in the Astros orginization. I'll post my season stats, which is all in AA as the CP when I finish and you can judge how realistic they look with using the Classic pitching interface and HOF difficulty level for pitching.

Overall pretty good but not great. ERA needs to drop, but with playing from the start with my sliders and settings it feels a lot better. I am really liking the 2 seam fastball over the splitter Ihad too.

Finished the 2013 season all with AA Corpus Christi Hooks in the Astros organization. I finished the regular season with the most saves in the league with 48, and made the AA allstar team. Here are my final regular season stats:

        56gp 0-3 3.67era 48sv 8bsv 49ip 3hr 5bb 33k 1.22whip

The team won both halves of the division to advance to the Texas League Championship. We won the series 3 games to 1, with me getting the save in two of the three wins, including the series clinching game 4 to win the championship.

In the offseason I was offered a 1 year 133,000 contract for a bullpen position in AAA. This pisses me off about this game. Why move me up to AAA only to put me in the bullpen, rather than keep me as the CP in AA?? I'm probably going to struggle in AAA and it will be hell trying to improve my guy. I tried to decline it but because I am not eligible for FA I was forced to sign the dumb contract.

The limit is 6 years for both minor league players and MLB players. Either way it'll be a long time before you enter FA.

Realism-it's RTTS. There's very little about the mode that is realistic. If you want realism, play franchise.

I'm still on '11 and forcing myself to play Veteran. I just got a 3 HR goal from my manager. Not very likely when every pitcher has 5 pitches and 2 95 MPH fastballs. AAA pitching is very good.

I just got '12 today, so I'll likely start a new character with that.

I'm already 0-3 with a 4.82era and just got into the month of May in AAA. I really wish I could've stayed in AA as the CP cuz this is ridiculous. I can't progress my guy very well in AAA...wish I could ask to be demoted.

Try missing the advancement goals 2-3 times. I think that usually works to get you demoted.

I didn't have to try lol...was just sent down to AA and I'm back as the CP like I wanted! I now have the top 50 prospect icon so that's cool. My overall is now a 66...ready to really progress more now that I'm back in AA where I should've been all season.

First game back I get a save witn one strikeout abd giving up no hits. The best closer in AA is back!! Lol

I normally wouldn't move it up to All-Star this early in a RTTS, but I'm hitting .475 on '12 with my 3B-Veteran difficulty. I'll look to use a custom set for the next 2 advancement cycles. If I don't see a significant drop in BA, I will be moving up to All-Star.'11 was never this easy to hit.

I have a Chicago Cubs 2nd Baseman I play on Default All-Star difficulty with Zone hitting and Pure Analog Throwing Interface. My guy started off with a rating of 82 due to the fact that I pre-ordered my game and it came with 1200 points.

I just got moved up from Double A Tennesse Smokies after leading Double A in HR's, and Batting Average May 27 of my first year.

Now my guy is on AAA Iowa Cubs who lead the divison after 5 games and 15AB I have a .267avg and 1 RBI I will keep you all updated

Just finished the 2014 season, currently in AAA. Hopefully I'll get added to the 40 man roster for September or during the offseason. Here are my first two seasons.

                        2013: AA
                        G/ AB/ AVG/ H/ R/ 2B/ HR/ RBI/ SB
                        81/ 312/ .343/ 107/ 35/ 20/ 3/ 39/ 33

                        2013: AAA
                        25/ 100/ .220/ 22/ 12/ 2/ 0/ 5/ 0

                        2014: AAA
                        136/ 559/ .229/ 128/ 50/ 32/ 8/ 58/ 56
I was league leader in steals

I became a top 50 prospect at the end of season 1 and hopefully I don't lose it after a subpar second season. I'm currently 82 overall.

I started a new third baseman-I was able to start with a better power rating as a LHB, but switched to both after creation.

I put up pretty good numbers in AA up to mid-July, then went straight from AA starter to AAA starter. I got a email saying I was good enough for the Reds. but couldn't be promoted because I wasn't on the 40.September callup possibly in the works.

I love the stupidity of RTTS...not, i went 24-0 in Double-A with 308 K's in 220.1 innings, a 1.27 ERA, only 39 R allowed, and I wasn't even given an invite to Spring Training, is there any easy way to get traded? this Triple-A team is pitiful.

Fail your goals a few times in a row is the method that I have heard works best....keep a save game from before that just in case you want to revert would be my suggestion.

I'm now an 87 overall and still stuck in AAA because I'm not on the 40 man roster. I'm 16 points ahead of the MLB starting 2b. I'm not the only one on the team getting screwed, my double play partner is also rated higher than the MLB starter.
