    This is correct.

Tried it - it's the same instant no-sim advance that Franchise has. I would assume that means the progression/regression engine won't double dip.

what is this spring training glitch?

should I skip spring training if I get to it before a patch comes out?

Apparently it doubles progression or regression for players.

Does the hitting difficulty go up by self legend?

I'm curious if base stealing has been reworked at all in this years' RTTS. In the past, it's been damn near impossible to get to 2nd unless you cheat and put sliders all the way in your favor (and even then with GOOD jumps, maxed out speed, and maxed out base running, I still get picked off most of the time).

What I'd like is to be able to make my guy a Ricky Henderson (automatic to 2nd) kinda guy. Would that even be possible in this years'?

I have been a MLB game fan from the very beginning. I buy the new version every year and will continue to do so as long as they continue to make it. I always play the RTTS part of the game. I mean I play this game a lot. I usually go 10 to 12 seasons with my RTTS guy and I play very game. But this year RTTS seems very different to me. I miss hearing the announcers making all the different comments. The gameplay is solid but it just doesn't seem like it's as much fun or as addictive as past versions. Maybe with a little more time with MLB 13 I'll change my mind. Anybody else feel the same as me?

That's why i went with a pitcher after every pitch or two the commentators will talk about you or something else as a hitter they barely ever say anything i just got tired of it

Just started my 2nd season with The Dude Lebowski on the Pirates.
I led the league in Hits, Doubles, Home runs, RBI, BA and OPS, was NOT selected as an All-Star, nor was I added to the 40-man and called up at all...
Then Spring Training comes and I wasnt added to the 40-man so I wasn't invited to Spring Training neither... I asked for a trade multiple times last year but it never happened, this year won't be any different.
Im "blocked" by Jose Tabata who I'm better than 10+ points overall...

They Can't Hold Me Down Much Longer!!!

I'll edit with my stats from the first year...

EDIT: Ok I cant find them now because they were minor league stats, but I hit over .370, over 30 HR, over 120 RBI and 14 SB

This is and has always been greyed out for me prior to simming all ST games in RTTS.

Re: MLB 13 The Show: Road to the Show Thread

I started a RTTS with the Astros at SS, created a power hitting SS and got called up on August 1st after they traded Tyler Greene to make room since I was tearing up AA & AAA. Once I got the call I struggled but was able to finish the season with 13HR 35RBI & .300BA and was able to steal the ROY from Jackie Bradley Jr although that hurt me a little since I am a Red Sox fan. Overall I am enjoying the mode but like some have stated the progression/regression is a little out of hand and HAS ANYBODY ELSE NOTICED VERY BAD TRADES? I am into the first off season and have seen Stanton traded for Hunter Pence straight up, Strasburg traded for Jaime Garcia straight up and Jason Heyward for Shane Victorino straight up, all three of which would never happen. This somewhat kills the mode for me but I guess I will just have to look past it and keep chugging along towards the HOF, hopefully.

as for bad trades, the only one I've seen so far was Wandy Rodriguez for Casey Kelly and Anthony Bass... not a good trade but not an insane one either... the 3 you mention are just crazy...

I finally made it the the MLB! My 12l pre order pounts paid off for my 20 year old RF that has an overall og 86 already. I still have trouble at swing at bad pitches but I'm getting better.

My current guy is so deep that all the issues have compounded themselves due to time as such I'm just hinting down the topspot on the leaderboard. The pitchers are so bad that hitting stats have gone through the roof. In my 23rd year, yes you heard right, 23rd year and am a .380 hitter with over 1400 HR's, 4000 runs and am hunting down the SB record.

Dang. I don't think I will be playing that far. Have you played everygame or simmed mostly?

Once I realised the system was broken too much for actual realism, I just resorted to simming. the stats via simming are ridiculous and the pitchers all stink, the highest rated SP last season was an 83...
