I've only been reading this thread so far, but something crazy just happened in my RTTS so I decided to dig up my old account and post.

first off, i'm the starting SS for the Fresno Grizzlies (Giants AAA) in 2014. hitting .434 with 18 homers and 52 rbi's (veteran difficulty, not looking for uber realism, just moderate challenge).

So about 10 minutes ago, I was playing a game and went 4-4 with 3 homers. Pretty damn good game right? Well that's not even the noteworthy thing. None of the homers were legit! TWO of the homers were inside the park! that's never happened to me before. both times, the center fielder ran into the wall and fell down, forcing the left fielder to run a mile and throw the ball in. well..if only 2 were inside the park, but I said all 3 weren't legit, how is the 3rd one not a normal homerun?

well, I hit the ball over the fence...but foul! And there wasn't even a review or anything! It just went into the no-doubt home run celebration thing and the game went on as if nothing odd happened. upon multiple replays, I concluded that the ball was blatantly foul. yet it was still a homerun.

probably the craziest thing that's ever happened to me in the show (been playing RTTS since 09). and 2 games before this one, I hit for the cycle! lots of crazy stuff happening. Hopefully I get called up soon. Getting sick of crappy minor league pitching. and no i'm not turning the difficulty up, at least not until my attributes improve.

Update on 1B Jeff Chapman.

My first season was incredible in Double-A ball. About 105-110 games played, 41 hr, 120 rbi, 90 runs, .382 BA, .801 SLG (difficulty has been upped). With one month left in Double-A I was called up to help the Triple-A team (not the Pirates though), things got bad. I couldn't hit anything and the yellow target in my strike zone was miniscule, ended up with just 0 hr, 3 rbi, and a .136 BA in Triple-A. During the playoffs, I hit my first HR in Triple-A while pinch hitting.

The season ended and I was surprised Pittsburgh never traded me all season (did they fix this?). I was invited to Spring Training but I never started which is just stupid. However, I still ended up making the team for Opening Day.

I pinch hit on Opening Day for my MLB debut in 2014 but Sergio Romo spoiled the day by striking me out to get the save. Day 2 of the series I was called to pinch hit again and I managed to double off of Madison Baumgartner for my first MLB hit. Since then I have only enjoyed moderate success and just started my first game in the MLB against Philadelphia (started at 3B though).

Looking forward to a tough season, I really do hope I don't get traded. I want to stay in Pittsburgh.

I always love this mode.

I started a CF with the focus on contact, speed, and arm. I've played so many years of the big bat who hits bombs, I wanted something more contact and station-to-station based.

I was drafted by the Yankees and was actually excited. I'm used to being placed on teams like the Mariners or my Padres to where it seemed like the six years of losing would never end. I played the first month, batted .370, 2 homers, and 17 RBI's while batting second in the lineup. I decided to take some virtual HGH and use my pre-order bonus of 6,000 points and put it straight into contact, speed, and DISC/VIS. I have grounded my RTTS through many years in the past, I just didn't want to deal with this one so I simulated the career, stopping to only add points to the goal related ratings.

I got my call up to AAA at the end of June and made the lineup quickly. Then towards the end of July I was traded to the Indians for Brett Myers. So much for making my debut in pinstripes. A couple of weeks later I got my call up in the first week of August and made my MLB debut pinch-hitting in the top of the 9th in Miami against Steve Cishek. I singled a 2-1 slider into right and was on top of the world.

Then I was given the start in left field at home in Cleveland the next night against Detroit. The only issue: Justin Verlander was starting. It was embarrassing. I went 0-4 with 3 K's and I decided that was enough playing for the night.

Has anyone else lost in the World Series. Man, does it hurt lol. I lost 4-1 to the Tigers. Their pitching was too much for us. I've never won the chip in RTTS, and I've only reached it one other time (the show 10 psp).

Hope we can get back there, atleast they won on their own turf. But it was still hard to watch the celebration. We went 108-54. Only my rookie year and everyone came back so maybe this year we can make it happen this year (hopefully)

Re-creating the career for Ken Griffey Jr. simply cuz I'm bored! Started out very poorly, was hitting .172 in the first month and got benched, then my first game off the bench I get hurt so I'm out a little over a month. I came back and now I'm mashing, hitting .333 with 14 HR's, and hitting 4/4 on my goals every time, yet still on the bench, season is almost over! Playing for the Mariners of course, but they just don't really care that I'm hitting the ball with authority, they elect to keep me on the bench! Hoping for that to change next year!

I made a Right Fielder. I was drafted by the White Sox but then traded to the Mariners. I made a contact hitter with an arm so I could have fun trying to throw people out. I have speed too. Steal bases once in awhile but my guy gets tripped up, so that is some time frustrating.

2013: Triple A: .289 4 HRs 16 RBIs 6 SBs
2014: Triple A: (Spent Whole Year) .317 16 HRs 80 RBIs 17 SBs
2015: Triple A: .200 4 HRs 19 RBIs 1 SB []
2015: MLB: .189 5 HRs 18 RBIs 4 SBs
2016: Triple A: .209 4 HRs 20 RBIs 6 SBs
2016: MLB: .143 0 HRs 2 RBIs 2 SBs

I'm horrible in the Majors. I have no luck with hitting, but half way done with the 2016 season so I'll update it once I finish.

Made a pitcher for the Giants and my first game is just annoying

We don't have pence anymore in RF he's on the padres and now my OF sucks
I go against the D Backs Parra hits a shot to that big gap in right and gets a inside the park HR

My great team's fielders don't start running for the ball till Parra rounds second base

That's what i was thinking show 11 and 12 were much more active with RTTS and youtube i think a lot of people quit playing it because of the no commentary

Well you're gonna have to do a bit better than that lol...you're only on pace for roughly 55-56 steals. I'm at 22 steals through 24 games. I steal 2nd and 3rd every single time I'm on base. 22/22 this year, 83/88 in career. 90 speed rating

Is there any way around getting traded? I saved my RTTS before the deadline, but I'm unable to ever sim past it without being traded. I've done it several times already and I keep on getting traded!

It's constantly the same trade too. My guy and Rasmus for Bourn.

Hi this might be a dumb question but I already have a 1B rtts going, and was wondering if I could make a pitcher and use autosave and still have the 1B on my save file. Thank you for any answer.

Go to options, find the injuries setting and set it to manual. Go to the disabled list, hit R1 and give yourself a 2 or 3 day injury. The trade won't happen then.
