Nope, he will ride the pine more than likely...although it may be possible he DH's and you play RF. I had a 3B on Washington and I started over Zimmerman who rode the pine rather than playing him at 1b or my guy at any other position since he was IF as a secondary position.

Gagh! What a bummer. Maybe I'll do 1B. But you field every ground ball as a 1B, don't you? Or is it just the ones hit to first?

Then, after a series against Richmond we're I was swinging like crazy, just got a message that I was sent to the Mets organisation for 2 players and going to Binghampton who we're 20 games out of 1st place (Portland Sea Dogs). I was just mad as hell at the game!

2 games later, after a so-so start with Binghampton, got a call from 51's to get to AAA. 51's we're 2 games ahead of the second place at that moment, looking for a playoffs spot.

AAA is a huge step to me, I'm hitting .303 with 6 HR and 13 RBI so far. Getting struck out to much to my liking, but pitching is far better at that level. I just hope that with 1 week left in the season, I won't get call up by the Mets (who are 14 games behing the Braves) and that I'll have a chance to make the playoffs.

That mode is just the funniest I've ever play in any sports game.
Well, like Poison was singing : "Every rose as it's thorn!". I was called up 2 games before playoffs by the Mets. Was mostly coming in a pinch hitter and went 3 for 62 to end the year.

Got back to training camp, was unable to hit a ball, so I retired at age 19 and have an eye on becoming a manager...in a Wal-Mart.

Today I hit couple of milestones I am year 2025 on my new team as the 1st baseman for the Pittsburgh Pirates . First of all I collected my 2500th hit and then secondly not to be out done by that I hammered my 700th Home Run a few days later which was so sweet.

Just a note, I already have my PS4 and I can't wait till March for MLB14 to come out, it will be amazing!!

I've noticed that the game does not always recognize milestones. I've had some major ones go by without any mention whatsoever. I stole my 1000th base yesterday, and they didn't say anything. I think it's because I stole 3rd (seriously). I've never seen any SB milestone get mentioned when stealing 3rd. Batting milestones also seem to mostly get passed over, if it's not the 1st of the game. For instance, if I hit my 73rd HR in my first at bat, then my 74th in my 2nd at bat, they may not even mention that I broke the record.

I also broke the career runs scored record a LONG time ago, but the game still has Ricky Henderson listed in the records...

Also also, the progression is terrible, this year. My best starter is a 70 overall...And I won my division, because everyone else has equally bad pitching. Way too much emphasis on offense.

Hopefully, this stuff gets sorted out on PS4.

Just had one of the most tense games I've ever played, A 16 inning pitchers duel. Both teams are top 5 in a majority of hitting stats yet it took 16 innings to get 1 single run to win the game. And only took me 3 years but finally threw a perfect game

I know I'm a little late to the party on this one, but has there been any mention of a fix or a way around not getting any contract offers as a FA? I have a hard time believing that a 5x MVP, 5x All Star, gold glove, 3x WS winner wouldn't be on anyone's shopping list.

                    Any suggestions?

My SP currently has a 2SFB, Cutter & Circle-Change as his pitches and I was thinking of a adding another pitch or two. What would you guys recommend? I was thinking possibly some sort of curveball. Oh and I'm trying to make my pitcher pitch like Greg Maddux did. Pin point accuracy/location.

Playing as Tim McFadden (myself) with OSFM rosters. Beginning of July, missed 2+ months with a broken foot. .425 (31/73)/2/13 as an OF at Reading. I really want 14. Too bad I'm broke.

Edit: AA All-Star Break... Called up to AAA Lehigh Valley. Still hitting over .400, with a grand slam for my 3rd bomb of 2013.

Finished 2013 hitting .333 between AA and AAA in about 280 PA. It's now mid-May, 2014. I'm hitting .325/5/25 for Lehigh Valley. Interesting moves so far: Joe Mauer is now a D-Back and Billy Hamilton is now an Oriole.

                                Position: SS
                                Height: 5' 10"
                                Weight: 185
I made my player a speedy, contact hitter who's made to be the lead-off guy. Got drafted by the Cubs who already had Starlin Castro, a 90+ OVR and only 23 years old. Luckily got traded to the Marlins and they have no firm starter at SS. I batted .350 in AA got called up to AAA right before the all-star game and was batting around .290. I'm in my third year now and got called up to the 40 man roster, but spring training has been awful for me. I'm batting around .200 and since my guy has no power, I might only have one homerun and there is a week left. Doubt I'm going to get called up to the majors.
