      Rangers need 1B and OF
Wacha + Ramsey + Tilson for Andrus

Any additions?? I have a hard time figuring out player worth.

Ramsey and Tilson wouldn't even be top 20 prospects in Texas. It will probably take Wacha + Matt Adams + Rosenthal

It may be fair in the game but IRL, Ariz. tells Chicago to blow them.
Vitters is way overrated in the game, he isnt even a top 10 Cubs prospect.
I'd give up Vizcaino and Junior Lake instead of Vitters.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

Now that OSFM v2 is online, I've settled on the Rockies, rather than picking the D-Backs like I intended, and desperately try to bring in CarGo.

I'm okay with the team to start the season. But I gotta couple of changes in mind, that I'd like to explore right now, for possible trades down the line.

            a) I'd like to get a young RH pitcher, with good velocity, to go along Pomeranz as 1-2 punch in the near future. But the ones I spotted are pretty much untouchables (ie. NYM Wheeler). Any names come to mind that could be available that fits that description ?

I'd be ready to trade any of my current SPs or minor league arms (aside from Pomeranz), and/or package some B-rated prospect we have in the minors such as (C) William Swanner, (C) Wilfredo Rodriguez, (1B) Matt McBride, (3B) D.J. Le Mahieu, (SS) Cristhian Adames, (OF) Corey Dickerson, (OF) Tim Wheeler, (OF) Rafael Ortega, (OF) Kyle Parker, (OF) Charlie Blackmon and/or (OF) Julian Yan.

            b) Down the road, I might try to add another good bat, either at 1B (Helton is old, and I could then use Pachecho as a utility player, since he can play all bases) or at RF (to replace Cuddyer, which I wouldn't mind parting ways with), depending on how well Colvin and Dahl progress.

Which brings me to the question: how big of a return could I get in return of Trevor Story (SS, 71 OV, A). With Tulo at SS and Arenado in line for the 3B spot, I don't really have room for him in my line-up, and his vision (only 22) worries me for HUM play. If I could get as good of a prospect at 1B, that's something that I could be very interested in.

Would KC's Eric Hosmer be attainable ? SEA's Justin Smoak and HOU's Jonathan Singleton are other names I had in mind, though I'm not sure Story is the right price for any of them, since Smoak is listed as High-C in the chart, and Singleton is a B-rated prospect in the game.

Oh, and I'm looking for both "fair" and "realistic", at least from the other team's point of view (I don't care if the Rockies wouldn't trade Story, I'm the GM now...)

Why do you think I wanna give up Vitters....lol. But seriously then, what if I take Pollock out of the deal? Rather not have to include Lake or Vizcaino and I haven't moved B Jackson "yet" but that's the only reason I was including Pollock really, if I do move Jackson.

Or keep Pollock in the deal and swap Brett Jackson out with Vitters...? I think The trade may be fair but it won't be realistic either way.

Seattle wouldn't trade for Story because of Nick Franklin but the Cardinals and Tigers could be a real spot for him.

Also I think the Rangers would give up Engel Beltre and Justin Grimm/Luke Jackson for a Will Swanner + Pacheco deal.

Franklin is only a B though, and currently listed/projected (from what I've read) as a 2nd baseman (though he can play SS as well). Any position they really need ? Looking at their roster, I spoted a couple of guys that would fit right in COL, on top of Smoak (don't even know if he would be available realistically) including SP Brandon Maurer and CP Carter Capps.

Detroit doesn't have much to offer that fits my needs, especially at 1B. Cards...I'm pretty sure Miller, Martinez and Taveras are out of reach, and I don't quite see anything else I'd be ready to trade Story for... :/

Not really high on Beltre, as Colvin and Dahl already have more upside in the game. Grimm is...okay I guess, but lacks the velocity I'm looking for.

If Franklin is listed at 2B then I would trade Story to Seattle for the B potential SP can't remember which (Paxton or Hultzen) and Smoak.

That would give you a replacement for Helton and give you a future #2 or #3 SP.
I also think the Cardinals would trade Wacha or Trevor Rosenthal + mid prospect for Story.

Seattle has enough MIF guys though. Romero, Miller, Triunfel, and Franklin, not to mention Ackley. And Miller's 100% sticking at SS, with Triunfel being good defensively as well. Seager/Liddi/Catraciala (sp?) at 3B. A bunch of DHy type guys at 1st.

I could see a Rosenthal-Story deal straight up.

Yeah, I like Rosenthal (drafted him in a couple of Fantasy Draft already). But as much as I'll need help in the bullpen (though I'm sure he could progress well as a starter), this isn't where my focus is at right now...I'm still gonna need a 1B for the long run, and Story might be the best available asset I have to get that.

I get your point about SEA's MIF guys...I think you're right, Seattle might not be a good fit for Story. Houston probably isn't either because of Correa. KC seems pretty stacked as well, so I guess Hosmer isn't a possibility either. Any other 1B worth a look at ?
