Still way too much. Bedard and McClellan don't have any value and Ventura/Holland/Dyson have a lot of value. You're on the right track including Lyles, but, you're not quite there yet.

AC liked it, but C_Shearman's issue was that Correa would be ready next year. With all do respect, I'm pretty sure Correa will need more than 1.25 years (from prep to pro) in MiLB to be ready. Though I think your point is valid in that Dee and Correa are both young and there could be a positional blockage issue. But, Dee could always shift to 2B, CF, LF. I would plan on developing him into a jack-of-all-trades type. If he can play SS, he can handle every position but catcher (in theory). However, I wouldn't bring Correa up until 2015 at the earliest (if this makes a diff to you C_Shearman).
There's no guarantee that Correa sticks at SS, either.

I actually agree this may be a stretch. Though I want Ramos, and Castro is young/valuable/defensive oriented, and Suzuki is actually starting and doing well for WAS, I'd probably need to add in one more piece of significant value (a prospect, not Saito) to make this work. Another C I have my eye on would be Michael McKenry of the Pirates, who'd come cheaper...not exactly the defensive catcher of Ramos/Castro quality but more pop...any ideas if that would fly here instead of Ramos?
Yeah, McKenry's definitely available, just give 'em a depth pitcher.

You COULD get D.J. Davis, it's just highly unlikely.

Pena really has no value whatsoever lol. Maybe to a team who needs a bat like the A's or something for a low C.

No way do the Yanks trade for Aceves imo. Also not for the only lefty in the pen.

I had Garcia go down last night. He is out for 2 months I believe. Would Halladay be available? Phillies are in the hunt for a wild card spot.

Even at AAA I'm pretty sure they wouldn't trade him for Aceves. Doesn't make any sense, unless they aren't going for realism.

Correct, probably not ready til 2015, very young and still needs to work on his approach at the plate

The Astros look pretty good in the infield for the future. Correa and Singleton will equal a good team.

if they are in serious contention of getting into a wild card spot, i don't think he would be available.

they aren't getting any younger and if anything they would probably pay a few prospects to pick up another big arm for one last chance at the WS.

Smoak had defitnitley had his struggles in the Majors the past couple years, but he still has more upside than Lemahieu. Capps for Parker is the only thing thats kinda close here. I have loved Parker since he was at Clemson and really think he can be a solid everyday big leaguer, and while Capps is filthy, he's just a bullpen arm and doesnt have tremendous upside. So take all this as you will
Noted. Like I said before, I don't know much about baseball...kinda stopped watching when the Expos moved to Washington, so I gotta lot of things to catch up, and pretty much go with the little bit of infos I can get here and there.

As for Chatwood's value, I was under the impression he was better than that, judging from the note on the spreadsheet (says the organisation values him a lot). But I wouldn't mind switching him for Chad Bettis, Edwar Cabrera or Eddie Butler (respectively #4, #9 and #10 on MLB's Colorado Top-20).

A little something I'd like to run by you guys. Since I still think Story is my best tradable asset, I quickly ran through the other teams and I think Minnesota might be the best place for him. Florimon surely doesn't look like a long-term solution at SS, and they don't seem to have anyone noteworthy in line for the future. (Their best prospect according to MLB.com is Danny Santana, a C potential, 59 overall player).

Any piece(s) (as good value as Story) I could get from the Twins, that I could then trade back to Seattle (that would be a better fit for them then Story) for the package I mentioned earlier (Maurer, Capps and Smoak) ?

Right now, I'm thinking Oswaldo Arcia (#92 on Top-100). Thought about Aaron Hicks (#97, A Potential), who's ranked just ahead of Story (#98) on MLB's Top-100, but since he's starting at CF for the Twins, I doubt that would be logic/fair.

Twins would get their SS, while still having good young depth in the outfield with Buxton and Hicks. Seattle's outfield looks kinda old (Morse, Guttierez, Ibanez and Bay are all 30 or over), and aside from Guerrero, they don't seem to have a lot of promising depth in the minors, so Arcia is probably a better option for them than Story would've been. Thing is, Arcia is only a B-Potential in the game, while Story is an A.

Should/Could I get more pieces back, or is Arcia already more than enough ? Thought Kenny Vargas (B-Potential, good power, but not on the Twins' Top-20 it looks like) might be another good player to grab in that deal, which could then again be used in the Seattle trade afterwards to replace Smoak eventually at first base.

hey guys, I was reading the comments section on mlbtr.com on one of the Stanton trade rumors post. Much like this thread usually people are laying trade scenarios out for their favorite teams. There was one comment I liked alot and I'm thinking about duplicating it in my franchise, I have 30 team control on, but my manual profile on the Cardinals and Royals, CPU profiile on everyone else.
It was Miami deals Stanton and Polanco and maybe Nolasco to Texas for Profar, Olt, a top prospect pitcher, and xxx position player.
Then Miami flips Profar to STL for Adams, and a pitcher such as Martinez, Kelly, or Rosenthal.
I like this trade alot, Texas competes, Miami rebuilds, then Cardinals get rid of blocked players and add a SS. Miami can then play Adams everyday and put Morrison in LF again. (slightly unrealistic due to Morrisons knees)
I'm looking to add a SS for the future, I was also looking at Story but i think his offense would be too much, the cardinals usually value defensive SS more, so that also turned my head towards Seattles Chris Taylor, defensive SS B pot. Seattle also has what seems like an overflow of prospect SS.
                              any thoughts?

Seeing as the Phillies are 8 games back of the WC nearing the trade deadline, would Ryan Howard be obtainable as the Rays and would Chris Archer alone be enough for Howard? Also he is having a pretty good season .286 17 hrs so far.
